The group met up at Roy G. at 8:30.  The players were:  Steve, Dave, Bob, Darden and Keith.  Chris and I had a prior obligation and could not play.  Lif walked with the group until hole 14 and headed out to fly a kite at Zilker.  Skies were cloudy and it was humid.  There were a fair number of players on the course.  Judging by the scores I'm glad I did not play. Steve had the shot of the day at hole one with a 70 foot shot for birdie.  The only birdie of the round.  No discs lost and one disc found by Bob.  He called the number and the o ..read more

We met up Sunday for Church, the Austin Ridge Bible Church.  The players were:  Steve, Keith, Dave, Chris and Heady.  Lif showed up and brought donuts to celebrate my retirement!  He was unable to play due to complications from another breakfast taco incident (long story).   Temperatures were in the upper 70's, mostly cloudy skies and a slight breeze.  Course conditions were fair, this course really needs some love.  We only saw a couple of other players on the course. I was not happy with my drives or my approach shots or my putting. At least I wa ..read more

Another big group turned out this week in Kyle, for a round of disc golf at Steeplechase.  The players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Darden, Bob, Chris and Keith.   I played poker until the wee hours of the morning and did not make it.  Steve, Keith, Dave and Lif met at Macho Tacos for a in house breakfast before the round.  Temperatures were in the 70's with cloudy skies and a little breeze.  They pretty much had the course to themselves. There were 12 birdies made:  Steve(3), Bob(3), Chris(2), Dave(2), Keith(1) and Lif(1).   Two discs l ..read more

We had a big group meet up at MetCenter this morning.  Today's players were:  Steve, Darden, Chris, Mike, Keith, Darden, Dave and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 60's, cloudy skies and a brisk wind was blowing.  Course conditions were a little damp and there were only a few other players on the course. We started the back nine first and I got off to a good start, making par on the first four holes.  I just missed par on the next two holes with my putts bouncing off the cage.  After that I had some terrible holes, making double bogey on four holes.  My ..read more

At the top of the morning we met up at Circle C for Macho Tacos and disc golf.  We had some rain in the area so we thought it best to stick close to home and play Circle C again.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Chris, Keith, Bob and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 60's, overcast skies and a little breezy.  We heard several rumbles of thunder and we did get sprinkled on.  Course conditions were a little damp but playable.  There were a fair number of other players on the course. Nobody really tore the course up again this week.  My drives ..read more

We had a large group today at 8:30am DST at Circle C.  Today's players were: Steve, Keith, Chris, Lif, Darden, Donald and Heady.  Temperatures were a little chilly, in the mid 40's, but the sun was shining and the winds were calm.  Course conditions were good, it looked like they only got a little rain this week.  There were a few other small groups on the course. What a difference a week makes.  Last week I played great and this week I played like crap.  I didn't have good control, must have been because of the lost hour of sleep.  Darden was recovered ..read more

We ventured west today and met up at the Bluebonnet Cafe in Marble Falls for a delicious breakfast.  Thanks to Dave for picking up the tab.  Afterwards, we played an exciting round of disc golf at the Westside Park DGC.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Chris, Keith and Heady.  The weather was perfect with temperatures in the middle 60's, mostly sunny skies and only a slight breeze.  Course conditions were very good, they recently mowed the fairways.  We haven't played this course in over a year and they changed the basket locations on all of th ..read more

We met up at 8:30 this morning at Roy G for some Macho Tacos and disc golf.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Keith and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 60's, sunny skies and there was some wind.  Fortunately, the trees gave us some protection from the wind.  Course conditions were good and there were a fair number of other players on the course. Nobody really tore the course up today.  There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth and rending of garments.  Steve got off to a fine start with five consecutive pars.  Lif had some very nice lon ..read more

Wilco - Chilly Morning

It was last June when we last played Wilco and that's too long.  Today's players were:  Steve, Chris, Keith, Dave and Heady.  It was a chilly start this morning, temperatures were in the mid 30's, sunny skies and no wind to speak of.  Course conditions were good, there were large piles of mulch scattered throughout the course.  There were a few other groups on the course. I started out with some good drives and some nice approach shots.  I kinda fell apart about halfway thru the course and I missed a couple of easy putts.   Nobody really tore up th ..read more
