I played a certain sound equivalent of 12.8 decibels for, like, two seconds. Would anyone else in the house have heard it? Additional details There are three bedrooms across from me; it would take seven human steps to reach each room. All bedrooms had their doors closed. Assume most were awake in the bedrooms. Also one person was sleeping next to me on the couch. I heard them toss around a bit, but nothing more than that. Nothing else was making noise in the house besides air conditioner. I am currently an undergraduate student. I work part time at an audiology office as an aud assistant. I started there showdowing at first before I got the job because it was my intention to go to school for it. So far it has been really nice and Chill work environment. Patients have also been grateful and sweet. However my audiologist says she would not recommend the field because the pay is not worth it. I don’t mind hearing aids but personally I actually would prefer working at a hospital or under an ent where there is no pressure to sell hearing aids. I have a young adult patient with tiny canals (see impressions) and hearing that has recently dropped to severe SNHL. I want to get this patient every bit of gain I can. I am worried about the probe mic for REMs a) being pinched, and b) causing a significant change in ear canal resonance (because the probe will be so large in the ear canal). Are these reasonable concerns? Should I be considering RECDs (or will that have the same effect on resonance)?
