Had a new one today on the way to a work function - on the highway, Mustang (pretty sure GT?) merged onto the highway and got behind me, pretty close. Car in front of us changed lanes and I floored it to give him a taste and he took the bait and kept up (albeit quite a few car lengths behind me). We messed around for a few more minutes and he went by me and gave a smile and wave. So I caught up, got beside him, and looked over to see if he wanted to run. He held up what looked like six or seven fingers (all five on one hand and one or two on the other) and I had no idea what that meant. So I r ..read more

Today was the BMW Live UK Meeting 2024 at the Oulton Park Circuit.
It was a great turnout and a really good mix of Group Classic, Modern Classic, present day and modified machines on display.
Lovely meeting some fellow Bimmerpost members too!
I hope you enjoyed the rest of the day.
Here are some of my photos from this morning.

I've scoured the internet looking for answer but I couldn't find a definitive one, as other threads primarily focus on the debate regular VS premium.
Considering the B58 engine has recommended fuel type of AKI 91 and minimum 89. I've been wondering myself, is there actually any benefit in running 93 or 94 on stock setup (no tune)?
For example would the better AKI yield one or many of the benefits such as increased mileage, longevity of the engine or increased power?
Don't know how relevant that is but all gas here in Canada contains 10% ethanol ..read more

A couple of weeks ago, I was very very fortunate to have been invited to the beautiful locale of Sitges Spain to drive the new J01 Mini as part of an international media drive event. As a hobbyist writer, these trips are truly a blessing.
So I hope it's ok for me to share my driving experience here as well. It's a bit long.

Hey, All.
I'm looking for an independent all-service shop in or near San Francisco that is familiar with aftermarket sport suspensions, xHP, MHD and other 'performance' stuff. Not racing, though. But not stock either.
Recommendations with years of experience and type of work done will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks ..read more
