Microsoft Edge on Windows 11 (and Windows 10) is upgrading the Copilot AI integration with two useful features: tagging and a new “Ask Copilot” menu that lets you quickly expand, explain and summarize the selected texts in a long PDF or web app. While the tagging feature is rolling out to everyone, the new Ask Copilot menu is limited to Canary. By default, when you’re reading a long PDF or webpage and open Copilot in the sidebar of Microsoft Edge, you can ask Copilot questions about the PDF/webpage. However, the integration isn’t always flawless, as Copilot may hallucinate and show answers fro ..read more

You’ll need an ARM64 processor like the Snapdragon X Elite with NPU, 225GB of storage (SSD), and up to 16GB of RAM to use Windows 11 version 24H2’s highly anticipated “AI Explorer”. While Windows 11 24H2 and most of its new features will work on all PCs, you’ll need the new Snapdragon X Elite chip to try the “AI Explorer”. So, what exactly is an AI Explorer, and why does it need Snapdragon X Elite to deliver on the promise? First and foremost, “AI Explorer” has nothing to do with File Explorer. Instead, it’s similar to the Windows 10 Timeline feature. It will try to log everything you do on yo ..read more

The new wallpaper retains the design of the Windows 11 Bloom wallpaper, which is the default wallpaper and is available in personalization settings. However, Microsoft has changed its color scheme to match the colors of the Copilot icon, which looks striking on a black background. As you can see in the image below, extracted and upscaled by W ..read more

Windows Latest

If you’ve successfully set up your PC with a local account, a new Windows 10 feature will nag you to create a Microsoft account. This feature will be turned on by default in Windows 10’s May 2024 Patch Tuesday, which will begin rolling out to the general public and IT admins on May 14. Using a Windows PC without a Microsoft account is increasingly becoming difficult. With recent Windows updates, Microsoft has made setting up a local account difficult by tricking you into opening a Microsoft account. But that’s not enough. In Build 19045.4353 (available for testers for now) or newer, you’ll not ..read more

Microsoft Edge on iOS is secretly working on some new features: “Circle to Copilot” and “Chat with image using Copilot”. A recent server-side update also turned on “Notebook” in Copilot for Edge on iOS, which increases the character limit to 18,000. And the next major change is deeper Copilot integration. Microsoft has been working on a “Circle to Copilot” feature for a while now. It was recently spotted in Microsoft Edge Canary for Windows 11, and now it’s also in the works on mobile devices. I have not spotted the feature on Android yet, but if you have an iPhone or iPad, you can now try an ..read more

Microsoft offered Windows 11 as a free upgrade for Windows 10 users. Many users could not upgrade to the latest operating system because of an Intel driver conflict, which caused recurring Blue Screen of Death (BSOD). As a result, Microsoft has been blocking the free upgrade on affected PCs, but the restriction was lifted today. Microsoft updated the status page of the bug, finally marking it as “resolved.” This problem was first flagged in November 2021, and back then, Microsoft enforced a block to prevent Windows 10 PCs with an Intel Core 11th-gen processor and Intel SST driver version 10.29 ..read more
