Diebus Saltem Dominicis: Constant fear and love in equal degree
OnePeterFive - Rebuilding Catholic Culture. Restoring Catholic Tradition.

This week’s offering presented a dilemma. In many places the Vetus Ordo Feast of Corpus Christi will be observed on Sunday as an “external solemnity”. Corpus Christi falls on the Thursday after Trinity Sunday and, in the Vetus Ordo, it had to be celebrated on that day. However, it is permitted to repeat the Mass texts on the Sunday following. This gives more people an opportunity to… Source ..read more

From the Ruth Institute: We can only say “Amen” to this effort of the Ruth Institute in this Sacred Heart Month. This is the month where we need to proclaim louder, with greater truth and charity, that the Sacred and Eucharistic Heart of Jesus is King over souls and societies! For people who have been recovering or have recovered from SSA, this reality of the Sacred and Eucharistic… Source ..read more

Above: the London Oratory. Today is the first of June, the month that Church dedicates to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Since so many people outside the Catholic world haven’t any knowledge of the liturgical year, much less how one can live according to it, they will be inundated with “pride” memorabilia all month long. For this reason, I have decided to make known my disdain. By now… Source ..read more

Trump Becomes a Martyr
OnePeterFive - Rebuilding Catholic Culture. Restoring Catholic Tradition.

Well, they got the conviction. After (how many years?) of the mob going after maybe the “Least Worst President” of United States history, Trump has been convicted. The BBC boldly asserts that Trump “falsely repeated claims his prosecution was politically orchestrated.” Amazing what they can spin on secular, worldwide media. So this was just a fair trial right? Nothing to see here… Source ..read more

Above: an Ordinariate Mass in Philadelphia. Photo by Allison Girone. In the new edition of the traditionalist journal Sedes Sapientiae readers will find an article by Fr Louis-Marie de Blignières FSVF on the idea of a traditionalist ‘circumscription’, a term covering Personal Ordinariates and Prelatures, and a response to this article by me. Fr de Blignières, for those who don’t know… Source ..read more

Francis, “Deaconettes,” and the St. Gallen Mafia
OnePeterFive - Rebuilding Catholic Culture. Restoring Catholic Tradition.

“No,” Pope Francis said. He was answering Norah O’Donnell’s question about whether “a little girl growing up Catholic today” could “ever have the opportunity to be a deacon and participate as a clergy member in the Church.” Directly and tersely, the pope said, “No.” It was a seemingly definitive response—and across the social media site X, a myriad of Catholics celebrated it as such.
