Title. I've been here in China quite a long time and just haven't made the concentrated effort to learn the language. I get by just fine knowing the bare minimum and always have. I guess I make a lot of excuses as to why I haven't learned it.. have translators, don't use it enough to justify the time I would invest, etc. But I just feel like scum when people ask me how long I've been here cause I know the follow up question is "how's your Chinese??"
