With some maintenance on my BB i thought I'd go ahead and clean/lube the frame bearings while the cranks are off. Tried to remove this main bearing bolt and without any excessive force the bolt did not come out, but stripped the tread right of the frame. The bike isn't even a year old, i've never removed this bolt before. The bolt now turns free in either direction but does not come out. If it was an alloy frame i would consider a thread repair like a helicoil, but this is a carbon Radon Swoop frame and i have zero experience repairing carbon. So my go to local shop was clearing out older models (22/23) and I ended up stacking a 10% discount I get with them on top and got a DHX2 new for $410 cad. I think damn I'm lucky I wanted the Bomber CR but I can have this snazzy one instead. As I'm looking for tuning guides I'm finding stuff on Foxes supposed poor quality and issues recently and now I'm wondering if that's why they were clearing out the older models. .
