Formed in 1985 by a group of enthusiasts who saw legendary blues nightclub Albert’s Hall spike blues interest and wanted to protect the stability of Toronto’s blues with an organization. This group included Derek Andrews, David Barnard and John Valenteyn, who wanted to ensure that blues music, an indigenous North American art form, was guaranteed a continued presence in Toronto.

The Toronto Blues Society is back once again with Blues In The Garden and this year, we have Camilo Restrepo performing
Come enjoy our lovely garden at 900 Queen Street West and listen to some live Blues, enjoy a burger, and cool down with a drink in serene atmosphere.
Food, light refreshments and alcohol will be available for purchase. Cash only.
Our garden will be open from 1-5pm. Camilo Restrepo will be playing 3 sets starting at 1:30 pm.

Road To Memphis
Toronto Blues Society is looking for its next representative at The International Blues Challenge. This year the IBC will once again take place between January 24-28, 2023 on Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee and musicians can apply to compete for the “band” or “solo/duo” category. Toronto contest date for the IBC will be announced soon. Select bands MUST be available to perform at both the preliminary competition in Toronto and the finals in Memphis.
