I spend most of my time in bed or sitting, so I'm not surprised that I got one. I can't go to urgent care until next week to get it drained, so I'm stuck waiting. Has anyone ever gotten these before? It makes sense to me that chronically ill people would get these more because we have to sit a lot.

Is this a psychiatrist issue or a GP issue? I’ve been suffering from Fibromyalgia for over 5 years and I have OCD, and a Panic Disorder. The only reason I’ve ever suffered from thoughts like this is because of fibro pain. I can’t change my diet because I’m on TPN. I cannot exercise because I can’t lose any more weight.

Im smij an artist with fibromyalgia. I've made it my mission to make our invisible symptoms more visible! I know how awful and hard it is living with fibro that's why I've drawn these characters, each based on a fibro symptom or inspired by fibro in some way. I've gone with a goofy cartoony style and aiming to make some painful faces smile. Over on the typical socials this month I've been posting a different picture every day. Is that's something you guys are interested in cause I certainly haven't seen anything like it

I’m just wondering if anyone is in the same boat as me and it turned out to be fibromyalgia. I do suffer already with IBS and TMJ and have had a couple of flare up with those recently.
After those flare up I now have this persistent tingling feeling down my left side with the occasional stabs of pain. It did seem to go away for a couple of weeks but has now come back and feels worse.
I am going to be ringing my gp although to be honest I’m not expecting them to be bothered as I’ve had a couple of really bad experiences with them recently. I just wondered if anyone had similar symptoms to me ..read more

As title asks. Every doc I've ever seen says the same thing to me. "Opioids are not an effective long term treatment option". Yet, I've never once talked about it being long term. I only want them for days like today where my pain is getting dangerously close to 10/10.

fellow fibromyalgia patients please help me
can you guys help me understand if this is fibromyalgia
Hello everyone! Hope all is well so I’m a 22 year old male and I don’t even know how to begin this I apologize if this is so long but please bear with me. Ever since I was 15 I would randomly get these attacks when I would walk too much on my groin/hip area (which I now think was my sciatica) but it would go away when I would rest and these only happened once a year or so, in 2019 I left high school and was getting homeschooled for mental health reasons and stayed at home pretty much all the ti ..read more

For the last 9 months I've been living with fibro pain, I've tried every drug my rheumatologist prescribed, went to physical therapy for a month and a half before I had to stop because of cost. I kept up the stretchs and walking routine best I could since and have tried all the other things I can think of to help.
Epsom salt baths, medical marijuana, heat, cold, and just nothing helps. The best I get is pain meds or muscle relaxers just making me pass out and sleep for a few hours.
I can't do anything without pain anymore and even just laying in bed perfectly still doesn't stop pain from goin ..read more

I’ve always had pain in my upper body. My back, neck, shoulders, fingers… but a few months ago, I started to get a persistent pain in my left knee. It wasn’t moving right and I sometimes feel like it won’t hold my weight properly if I am not careful about how I step. Because I’ve lost a lot of weight in the last few years, I figured I could go to the doctor and get real answers, rather than just being told that I’m fat. Lord behold, they actually palpated my knee and suggested diagnostics! Now I know I’m in the early phases of patellar dislocation. I’m thirty and I’ll have a knee replacement ..read more

I’m so frustrated and in pain atm. I’m in the middle of a recruitment process and I’ve spent all week taking steps to get through the application process. So I got a call this morning asking if I’d had a particular test done yet. I wasn’t aware of this test as the relevant form wasn’t sent through to me so the person I spoke to emailed it to me directly. I had to go to the local campus to get it done. I wasn’t 100% sure where to go so parked near where I thought it was and got out to walk there. I see a sign pointing toward where I thought the right office was so kept walking across the grass ..read more
