Hi guys, Im new to this forum and trying to figure out what to do with 380k. I am 30m in the military with four rental properties and a lot of cash just sitting around. One property was paid for in cash and renovated, the other three have about 280k in mortgages total with an average rate of 3%. I understand the VOO/SPY and chill ideology but what i really like is income. Over the years I've been abusing bank deposit bonuses and keeping my cash in the highest yielding accounts possible ( currently about 5%). The current rental market doesn't make sense so I am not looking to purchase another ..read more

Vanguard account

I tried to open vanguard account, it seems they changed the platform, so you have to open a new account for each type of service (IRA, MF, EFT, etc), which is annoying, I watched some tutorials on youtube, and it was one account and you can start a service within the account by selecting a service. Had anyone experienced this? submitted by /u/beentherepreviously [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Stock Price Movement on Dividend Date?
Reddit » Dividend Investing

Quick q: $HUYA is currently trading at $4.45 They have announced a one time dividend of $0.66/share - as of the close of business on May 10, 2024, payable in U.S. dollars. The ex-dividend date will be May 9, 2024. How does the stock price usually demonstrate this? Do we expect the price of the stock to drop on May 10 by $0.66? If not, why would people not just buy a ton of stocks of $HUYA for a couple of days to make ~14% profit? Recenlty bought SPYI and QQQI shares. There was no mention of fees upon purchase and nothing on the main page for the ETF's. Now I'm looking at the prospectus and seeing management fees of about 0.68%. Can anyone explain how that works? submitted by /u/Employee28064212 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
