I feel dumb for asking about this and probably should, but here we go: I’m wondering if there is any treatment for developmental abnormalities, a notable symptom of which is pronounced fluctuating asymmetry in bone structure. After having a lot of tests done, I had a doctor tell me that I likely have a congenital abnormality in my hypothalamus, and I now take medication to keep my hormone levels regular. In the process of looking into these problems and the meaning of my diagnosis, it came up that my mother had to have radiation treatment for hyperthyroidism shortly before becoming pregnant w ..read more

Question about Cartilage vs. Tendon Treatment for Knees

I've (34M, otherwise healthy) been suffering from knee issues for more than a year now. As a result, I've seen several doctors and heard different things. Some doctors said (based on an MRI) I needed microfracture surgery to address cartilage defects. Some doctors said (also looking at my MRI, but considering other factors), that physical therapy would heal me up. While my knees are still in a lot of pain and my everyday movements are significantly impacted (can't stand or sit without supporting my weight with my arms, for example), I saw some relief when I started tendonitis PT exercises. I posted in Parkinsons as well. I am in a stem cell clinical trial for MSA. The treatment is adipose stem cells delivered intrathecally. There is of course the possibility of being in the placebo group but if I did get actual stem cells, how would they affect me and how long after treatment should I expect to feel results? if I don’t see any change, should I assume I’m in the placebo group? submitted by /u/Mindless-Rub-2563 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

The great debate - auto vs allo?

I’ve read very polarizing opinions from equally reputable industry experts/doctors.. and just wondering that the thoughts are here.. Top level, arguments for allogenic are of course you can get younger, more vibrant cells, or from prenatal tissue. And you don’t have to go through the procedure of collecting your own cells.. Arguments against are that there is indeed an immune response and the cells are eliminated from the host within 6 weeks or so (so effect may be shorter). Whereas autologous should have longer lasting effect. Further thoughts? submitted by /u/mistersilver007 [visit reddit ..read more

Hi everyone, I'm 37 years old, male, and I'm a fluroquinolone toxicity victim. I suffer from fibromyalgia, neuropathy, chronic fatigue, joint, muscle and tendon pain, cognitive disorders, memory loss, depression, anxiety, drowsiness , weakness, difficulty walking and standing etc etc and I have made no progress, but only regressions, until today, where I am now bedridden, I can no longer carry out even the most basic tasks, I can't even wash myself, and I depend from others for every minimal need, despite thousands of money spent on supplements recommended for floxed people, medications etc ..read more
