A number of civilians were killed on Monday, the 5th of February, in heavy artillery shelling, that was carried out by the regime forces on the area of Houla, in northern rural Homs. On the 5th of February, the FSA gained control of large parts of the village of Al-Amud and Sargaya hill in the Sharan area, northeast of Afrin city, following heavy fighting with the YPG. Jaish Al-Islam was able to counter several attempts for the Syrian regime, to advance on the fronts of the town of Hosh Al-Dawahra, in Eastern Ghouta. The regime suffered from significant losses in the process. In an exclusive interview with RFS, Hamza Beyraqdar, spokesman for Jaish Al-Islam, said that Jaish Al-Islam fighters damaged a T72 tank, and killed eight regime fighters, including high ranking officers.   Nine civilians, including children, were killed on Sunday, the 4th of February, in intensive shelling by the regime forces on the  towns and villages of Eastern Ghouta, in rural Damascus.   RFS correspondent said that six people, including two children, were killed in a shelling on the city of Douma. On Sunday, the 4th of February, the Russian air force destroyed the operating rooms, the infirmary and ambulatory department of the National Hospital, in the town of Ma’arat al-Nu’man, in southern Idlib. On Saturday, February 3rd Jaish al-Islam fighters succeeded in countering an attack by the regime forces on the front of Hosh al-Dawahira in eastern Ghouta, inflicting casualties on regime ranks. A footage showed direct confrontation between Jaish al-Islam fighters and the regime tanks that failed in advancing into Jaish al-Islam positions, and eventually withdrew from the area.
