Long long ago, there lived an Apsara by the name of Punjikasthala. Apsaras are celestial beings, extremely beautiful women who live up in the skies in heavens amidst Gods. They are dancers in the court of Indra. Punjnikastha was also very pretty and she was fully aware of her beauty and proud of it. One day, to amuse herself, she came down to Earth and was walking in the forests enjoying the nature. There she saw a monkey faced sage sitting in lotus pose under a tree in deep meditation. Punjikasthala found it funny that a a monkey is praying to Lord’ she laughed loud. But her laugh didn’t hav ..read more

On a Zoom meeting with my team. My 9-year-old daughter, who shares office space with me, has an urgent question “Amma, does crows have nose?” I mute myself and say, “Have you seen a crow with a nose?”. (My parenting guide has preached that I should ask the right questions to ignite the child’s own thoughts, and never ever give a direct answer!) While the kid is doing some serious thinking, I turn around and ask my team when we take a pause, “Do crows have nose?” Surprisingly, no one knew the answer and we moved on to the next technical topic. However, just before I ended the meeting, a team-m ..read more

A shady affair….

My heart was racing as I turned into the dark narrow alley. The jittery feeling you get when you are all set to succumb to the world of illicitness and deceit. What if I am being watched? What if the cops get to me? Will I get arrested and thrown into the dungeon, never to see the light of the day?! A hundred questions lingered in my mind. This is after all a State where you get to buy yummy Marijuana cupcakes in gas stations. Maybe I could defend myself to the judge. My head felt heavy as if it was being clamped down by an iron rod. I wanted to lift this weight off, feel light again, to ..read more

Change of Definition during Covid: Multitasking – Dealing with more than one task simultaneously; contemplating and prioritizing the next task to take up, and on doing that getting totally lost to the pointer to the task that preceded the current one, or the next one or the one at hand. Resulting in utter disorientation of the brain, lost pointers, and a troop of incomplete tasks, all riveting around you! Not to mention the constant drama and whining of disgruntled customers (aka kid, teammates, husband)! PS: Image Src : https://davidsonbelluso.com/the-reality-of-multitasking ..read more
