The Endometriosis Association of Ireland experienced a sudden loss of two board members in April this year. As a result, although the organisation has continued to fulfil its charitable purposes, as outlined in the EAI constitution, during the summer, some areas of support which members and followers have a right to expect, have been lacking. Dr Zsuzsanna Kovács is a member of the GlycoScience Group and a participant in the Glycomendo project under the leadership of Dr Radka Fahey. In clinical collaboration with the Merrion Fertility Clinic, Glycomendo attempts to identify tractable, non-invasive clinical biomarkers for the detection of endometriosis.
