After M proposed, he admitted he had decision paralysis when it came to the ring and would rather me pick out whatever I wanted. You see, we had never talked about engagement and getting married prior to the actual proposal, so he had no idea what I wanted and if I wanted anything because “tbh I think if I found a ring made out of acorns and gave it to you, you would be perfectly happy.” (Correct.) Tear gas discharges across the water and the residents of this city I call home cry for justice — some bloody from the confrontation with the iron-fisted police. M and I are home, tucked into our apartment just a short ferry ride away.
