Last May 29, 2018, the embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines has announced that starting on July 1, 2018, visa application will be processed through designated travel agencies only due to increased number of Korean visa applicants. VISA ANNOUNCEMENT: The Korean embassy has introduced a new visa-free system for Filipinos which is said to take effect on the first half of 2020. This program will allow tourist groups to enter cities like Seoul, Incheon, and Busan without visa as long as their final destination will be Jeju Island.
