Dutchman Derk van Luijk has won the 2024 EPT Monte Carlo Main Event after defeating a field of 1,208 entries. The 43-year-old is a relative newcomer to the tournament scene, appearing to have been playing consistently since only 2022. Shaun Deeb has revealed that there have been multiple mechanic poker dealers working the live scene in Texas. The American tweeted a video of one of these dealers in action at Legends Poker Room in Houston, showing him separating the cards and leaving the bottom of the deck untouched rather than properly shuffling the order.
