Long live Keith Whitley. The late great country star is one of my favorite artists of all time, and I'll argue until I'm blue in the face that Keith Whitley would have been the King of Country Music if he hadn't tragically passed away in 1989. I mean, just look at the impact that he's still having on country music today, despite having such a short career. If you ask any of the (actual) country artists out there today who is on their Mount Rushmore of Country Music, there's a 100% chance that Keith Whitley would be in the conversation. And recently some of those (actual) country artists took ..read more

Now the internet has gone too far. Of course we all know what a cesspool social media can be. I learned a long time ago not to read the comments, so whenever people have something to say about whatever I write or say on social media, it's basically just yelling into the void because I'm not going to read it. I don't know what it is about social media that makes people feel comfortable with saying horrible things about each other, including people they've never met, but that's the unfortunate reality these days. Probably because there aren't any consequences for being a shitty person. Well Bun ..read more

This right here is a really tough look. Going to the ballpark, whether it be a college game or an MLB contest, is always a great time. And if you've ever sat in a seat where a foul ball or a home run could land, that increases the excitement level of the event. It's always fun to have the chance to snag a free souvenir. Some people (mostly children) even bring a baseball glove to the ballpark. Might as well be equipped to catch a baseball the correct way if one comes rocketing your way, right? And there's really nothing wrong with that. However, if you a) have a glove and b) are a fully grown ..read more

A snippet of what is in store for Yellowstone. Cole Hauser seems like he is the only one who has intel about what is happening with the future of the show, but even his insight still does not give when the end of the modern-day Western will be on our TV screens. Lainey Wilson and Kelly Reilly noted that they had "absolutely no clue" what is going on with the show earlier this month, and Kevin Costner, after pulling out of the show, notes that he'd potentially like to return. While fans (including myself) weren't even sure if the second half of season five would ever see the light of day, we w ..read more

What's the only thing more dangerous than an alligator? The answer is the darnedest, most vicious creature on the planet. The Florida Man. Thanks to some quick instincts from a man that calls Florida home, another Floridian is alive and doing as well as he can be after being attacked by an 11-foot alligator. And the story is so absurd, there's really no other state that this could have happened in. This dramatic, what-the-hell-is-happening encounter happened in the beautiful (and apparently alligator infested) city of Naples, Florida. One man by the name of Walter Rudder was driving home and ..read more

The PGA Tour is getting PAID. In a move that's basically the PGA Tour's combat against LIV Golf, "PGA Tour Enterprises" has been launched, which basically gives players that stayed loyal to the tour (instead of defecting) a stake in the organization. That "ownership" also grants PGA players the opportunity to receive future and immediate equity, which totals over $1.5 billion. Here's how the payouts appear to be shaking out for some the biggest stars in golf: -Tiger Woods: $1oo million -Rory McIlroy: $50 million -Justin Thomas: $30 million -Jordan Speith: $30 million https://twitter.com/PGATO ..read more

Jimmie Allen has had quite the backslide in the past year as he's fought serious allegations of sexual assault. It all started back in May of 2023 when his former manager sued the country artist for sexual assault and sexual battery. Not long after that, his entire world and career fell apart, as he was dropped from his record label, divorced by his wife, welcomed twins with another woman (who was also married), and faced other serious allegations from other women who came out accused him of sexual assault as well. He has since settled the sexual assault lawsuit, but that didn't exactly bring ..read more

For the love of the game... Of course it's a little different when that game is racing a 3,500 lb. race car around a 2.5 mile track at 190+ miles an hour, where one wrong move could literally mean the difference between life and death. But according to Michael McDowell, it was a chance he was willing to take to win the NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega this past weekend. McDowell drives for the smaller Front Row Motorsports team, which obviously means they don't have as many resources as the bigger teams like Hendrick and Joe Gibbs. And that means fewer opportunities to win races, and fewer ..read more

Another stellar Kelly Clarkson country cover. Yesterday on her daytime talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show, Kelly covered the heck out of the Ronnie Milsap classic "It Was Almost Like a Song." Written by Hal David and Archie Jordan, Milsap recorded "It Was Almost Like a Song" and released it in May of 1977 as the lead single and title track from his album of the same name. It became his eighth #1 song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, and also became Milsap's first Billboard Hot 100 chart entry when it peaked at #16. It also charted on on Billboard's Hot Adult Contemporary Sin ..read more

The situation is extremely dire when you are forced to bear hug an alligator in order to survive. Will Georgitis, a fossil diver in South Carolina, was completing a dive in the Cooper River when his worst nightmare played out in real life. The experienced diver was prepared for a moment like this, though he always hoped he would never have to face off against an alligator. Georgitis described the initial stages of the terrifying encounter to the Post and Courier, saying: "It was a really good dive. I found a lot of teeth. I was at the end of my tank so I came up with about 600 psi, and when I ..read more
