Second Round CIF Southern Section Playoffs Poly vs Mater Dei I believe this officially marks the end of football season for me.  With Millikan and Poly losing their games, all Moore Leagues teams are out of the playoffs.  This means I get my Fridays back.  Now don't get me wrong, I love shooting football, but I also love getting out to shoot wildlife and spend some time with my fellow photographer friends. Week - 7 Millikan Varsity vs Compton Lakewood High, the school I normally cover had a buy this week, so I was asked to cover the Millikan vs Compton game. As lighting goes, the lights at Millikan were terrible.  I had to push my ISO up to 16,000 and lower my shutter to 1/640 to get a good exposure.  Not really too worried as the Canon 1DX handles noise very well, just not a fan of going that high, but we do what we can to get the shot. Moore League Volleyball Action I haven't covered volleyball in several years, but last week I was asked to cover the Lakewood vs Poly game, which was played at Lakewood this past Thursday.  These are two top-10 teams in the state and although there is still plenty of games to go, this was for the current first place spot in the league.
