Hello!
I am using nilearn to plot some brain data.
Specifically, I created a 3d array matching the dimensions of the original data, then I assigned values to specific coordinates. I would like to plot the resulting array using plot_stat_map.
This is the code I'm using:
array_3d = np.full((53, 63, 52), np.nan)
for index, row in data.iterrows():
x = int(row['x'])
y = int(row['y'])
z = int(row['z'])
intensity = row['intensity']
array_3d[x, y, z] = intensity
array_3d[10,49,26]
nifti = nib.Nifti1Image(array_3d, np.eye(4))
plotting.plot_stat_map(nifti)
The issue is that if I use the default bg_imag ..read more

(He says it at 1:23)
how much truth is there to this?
(Not that it joins the left and right size of the brain, but that it can be exercised to make you smarter)

So I have lots of Interviews for Masters applications coming up and for some im struggling to find good questions to ask at the end.
I mostly ask about stuff like - „could you expand on this and this module/course“ -„do students usually complete lab rotations and master’s theses at the institute or abroad“ -„is it possible for students to do part time reaearch work in a lab during the semester“ -„is there financial support to get a felasa certicate?“
but im thinking of spicing things up, maybe throw a „what do you think are the strentghs of this masters program, compared to others in the fiel ..read more

Hello! I'm a current undergraduate interested in neuroscience, and I'm looking for recommendations on a textbook. I've taken a basic cognitive neuro course, so I have some background, and I know the basics, but I'm struggling to find a good intermediary between the basics and the extremely advanced.
The first book I've tried is Fundamental Neuroscience by Zigmond et al., just because my library happened to have it. While I like the book, I can tell I'm not getting too much out of it, simply because it assumes a great deal of background which I lack.
In addition, I am much more interested in t ..read more

Maybe if divided in 9x9x9 cubes, (3,1,3) is responsible for dancing, (6, 5, 7) is responsible for maths , (0,0,0) is memory and so on.

Hello everyone, I’m going to college for neuroscience and I was wondering what do yall do on a day to day basis? I have no idea if I want to do research or medical. And what’s the difference between having your masters and PhD? Also if there’s any neurologists that could tell me what you do as well? Thanks everyone ?
