Zx e10 (crop) 120mm 6.3 @1/1250. Im sitting 50 yards from subject, main problem i hit is on continuous AF not grabbing subject but , another close player or something in distance. Fast (ish) game so manual focus isnt an option. Shots of goalie seem easier since they typically wear different uniform submitted by /u/Relevant_Score7074 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

In the market for gear

I do a lot of videography based around sports and I currently own an FX30 as my main camera. I have branched out into photography as well and the FX30 can take photos but it’s very handicapped as to its ability with photography as it’s a cinema line camera. One being no physical shutter which means I can’t burst shoot. I wanted to kinda see what a good started DSLR camera is for me to start photographing more efficiently. I wanted to stay in the same Sony E-Mount platform just so I could reuse glass but Sony cameras seem very expensive. My budget is around $250-400. Thanks much ? submitted b ..read more

Media Day Help
Reddit | Sports Photography

I was asked by a coach to shoot a media day for my schools football team and was wondering if anyone here has done this. This would be my first time doing something like this so I’m not really sure what a media day would be like. I know what I would be doing, but I’m not really sure what to expect. Would I be directing the players? Also as far as settings: would it be safe to just go auto, or should I have pre determined settings? Anything I need to know would be very much appreciated. Just don’t want to screw up this opportunity. submitted by /u/Over-Wishbone-2418 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Shot on M43 with a 12-40mm f/2.8. I’ve been researching settings and ended up around 1000-1250s at 2.8 with auto iso. Might have gone a little heavy on the denoise but overall I think they ended up okay. submitted by /u/StevieTucker87 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
