Sorry it’s super long, it’s like a feature length film. I woke up for school and my sister and cousin were on the couch with my brother and quan (one of my bestfriends) and jazmin(his gf)? And a baby girl? They were playing with what seemed like quans daughter but im like thats kinda impossible bc he just told me he is having a kid a few days ago. He doesnt have one yet. That is when I sort of get skeptical if what i’m experiencing is real. But i brush it off then I was like yo I think we should get to class yall arent we late (ive been out of school for years)? Once we leave we are driving i ..read more

I’ve had INSANE lucid dreams recently after starting an antidepressant

note for moderators: this isn’t a dream story, it is about the correlation between a specific drug I started and the crazy dreams that soon followed. If you believe otherwise, feel free to remove it I’ve been taking Cymbalta for probably 5 or 6 weeks now. Today I had at least 5 different totally lucid dreams, in which I was lucid the second the dream started and could stay asleep to do whatever I desired (typically, in the rare event I become lucid during a dream I nearly instantly wake up). I think I’ve had a couple recently before these, alongside intense hypnagogia, but nothing to this e ..read more

I have read a book about lucid dreaming when I was a teenager and I was really into it. I managed to lucid dream a few times in my life and it was great every time. In the last years I've neglected my dreams to the point where I wake up and almost not even remember them. I'd like to start over, where should I start? I am also willing to buy any device that will get me there, regardless of its cost, if it will actually help. Thank you! submitted by /u/FlyingJoeBiden [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Dream scenario resets?

I've noticed that I'm more often than not able to recognize when I'm in a nightmare, but won't have full autonomy like it's a lucid dream so instead I'll just force myself awake. It's pretty common, and gotten to the point where it's almost a feeling of inconvenience (like ugh, another nightmare coming) so I'll just wake up. Usually I'll get up and go do something for like 30 mins to an hour because if I go right back to sleep I'll fall back into the same dream. Has anyone experienced something similar are there any techniques for "resetting" dreams or going into something completely diff ..read more

Checking to see if you’re in a dream

I lucid dream a lot, but I know I can check to see if I’m in a dream by looking at words in the dream, looking away, and looking at the words again. If the words change, I know I’m in a dream. Last night, I was pretty sure I was in a dream so used that method to check, except the words stayed the same. I did this multiple times and the words did not change. I eventually woke up and realized it was just a dream, but what does this mean? submitted by /u/BananaPancakes47 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

This was a very very strange experience I never had before, this wasn't like partially lucid dreaming or dreaming about lucid dreaming, this was different. So I'm walking down the road in my city, I'm partially conscious and nothing is off, nothing that would tell you that you're dreaming, but I start feeling really weird, like very slow, dissociated, confused and in panic. The more I think about this the more the feeling washes over me. I started freaking out looking for a phone somewhere to call an ambulance. After that everything goes black and I realized I was dreaming, a minute later I w ..read more

I lucid dream every night, and I never knew what it was.

Okay so I don’t know how to start this off. Except I never heard of lucid dreaming. So Parden my rambling but I’m watching a horror tv show when they talked about lucid dreaming. Explaining what it was and I paused it and immediately googled lucid dreaming. For as long as I can remember I’ve only ever been able to control my dreams. they’d be so real. I’d wake up and swear it had happened. I control what people say, do, react in all my dreams. Sometimes I’d wake up with the taste of the food I’d just ate even. I didn’t know there was a name for it until now. My boyfriend and I are talking abo ..read more

What the heck was this?

So the other night I was in this dream. Where I was rolled up in like a ball and I was being violently shaken back and forth. Like it was so bad, and I remember going stop just stop. And I knew if I didn’t stop what was happening, I could die. Anyway I kind of became lucid, as I pretty much screamed at myself to stop. And then I woke up. I ended up with a full on headache all day the next day. And anytime I moved my head back and forth I felt yucky. submitted by /u/OwnProfile489 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
