There's probably lots of discord servers, but I wanted to make one accessible to anyone and try to actually be an active community where people can ask questions and have a good space to learn lots of different things regarding production https://discord.com/invite/aNF4G2Qu. submitted by /u/VastNet8431 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi all - long time lurker here. I was wondering if anybody had advice/experience on how to get more bookings overseas and in other cities w/out an agent etc. One of my mentors, someone who has had a lot of success within the industry, told me that the key to this was to have an official release on a label (big or small) and that from there things would start rolling in. For context: In terms of gigs: currently I play once to twice a month in clubs here in top 3 US market city for the past year and half or so. I’ve been playing live for 3 ish years. Last month played first show at major venue ..read more

Why has Sippin’ Yak by Cloonee become so popular?

I find it an okay song. It’s an untraditional house approach. Not necessarily a club banger, more of a sing along rap type house. What are your opinions on the song? submitted by /u/SadBenefit2020 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Dawless setup + Guitar Looping

Hello! I'm new to electronic music and would like to have somewhat of a dawless setup. For instruments I have my line 6 helix LT for my guitar, volca keys, and Roland AIRA Compact T-8. I'd like to have connectivity so that they're all together, and I don't need to have an independent guitar looping outside of the chain. Does anyone know if this is possible? And if anyone has any recommendations for affordable Dawless setups, feel free to comment :D submitted by /u/Jeremymc6 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Focusrite 2i2 output issues

I dont have studio monitors and want to get a reference from something other then headphones. I have a godin ASG 8 acoustic guitar Amp (I can handle full range of frequencies I use it as a Bluetooth speaker sounds great) I use a 1/4 inch cable on the headphone output on the front of the interface and plug l it into the input of the Amp. Sounds like utter shit. Should I be using the line outputs on the back? They are left and right so I would imagine I would need an adaptor. What should I do? Just want another output to listen on besides headphone? submitted by /u/No_Shopping1929 [visit reddi ..read more

1.2GB of loops free download, no strings attached

This year I got back into production after over 15 years. I made plenty of loops so I can jam in Ableton for my own pleasure. They may be the shittiest sounds you've ever download, since my music never existed outside of my cheap speakers, and I have no connections for objective criticism. But they are free and you can listen them and download individually here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1LlBC33LA-CMuRMVWk_16Gpe2sO-vt58Q?usp=sharing I also recorded a session in Ableton, I think about half of those loops are used in the mix, maybe more... I would really appreciate any constructive ..read more
