New artist account - label won’t respond

I changed my artist name last month and have successfully transferred over all of my music except for a single release. The label that I released this track through won’t respond to my emails about switching it over to the new account :/ Are there any work arounds to get the song transferred over? Or is it stuck on a dead account? submitted by /u/Equivalent_Sherbet64 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Podcasts about electronic music production and business?

I really enjoy listening to successful producers talk in depth about electronic music and the scene, it keeps my head in the game and keeps me inspired to keep pushing my sound. I’ve already listened to all episodes of the Mr. Bill Podcast, and the XLNT Show. Does anybody have any other recommendations in this realm? submitted by /u/brendyman [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

What on earth is this type of bass called?

Hey guys, what is the name of the type of long industrial sounding reverbed bass that is featured as the main element in Ecstacy by Delta Heavy? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8hFNskBCO4 I'd be inclined to say that this is somewhat of a reese bass but not really. I've heard similar sounds like this often and would like to learn more about how to create something similar but can't for the life of me think of what to even search for. Does this type of sound have a particular name? or even better: does anyone have a rough idea on how to make it? just as a astarting point? submitted by /u/Char ..read more

Anybody have a tutorial or sample on how to make the nice as plush mid bass sound that is in viperactive's angel crest on the first downbeat of drop one and then repeats with every kick and also in Juelz and Tisoki's remix of Stacks on that first downbeat of the drop as well. submitted by /u/thucinyourshirt [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

If anyone relatively new ever wants wants to hop in a cook up server, PM me! I’ve been on everyday trying to get better and don’t really have producer homies. It would be nice to bounce ideas off each other. submitted by /u/srirachapapii [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I started a new flp project using some of the "sounds that always work" and everything sounds completely weird.

So I have a template that has most of the things arranged for me, but not mixed. Even though I have buss channels with the processing plugins on it which are off and I tweak them after I wrote all the melodies/harmonies/arranged everything. I change a few sounds/drum samples/ fx's whenever I start a new track. And I have started quite a few tracks using this template (which all sound relatively good), and my creative flow has been completely insane until now... There is a new track I have been working on and everything seems to be sounding completely off especially the kick. I tried a few sam ..read more

Sub bass questions
Reddit » Electronic Dance Music Production

Would it be fine to leave the fifth of the bass in the sub bass? (the G harmonic of the bass if the C was the actual note of the bass). Or should a sub bass just be a pure sine wave without any other harmonics? Should the sub bass be there for all of the drop or should I cut it off and on? I've tried listening to professional artists and from what I can tell the sub bass seems like it's going off and on? How are sub basses meant to be used? submitted by /u/Pastenkopie [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
