As a flight attendant, do you tip shuttle drivers? For those who tip, do you tip everytime or based on service? How much do you usually tip? Im curious and would like to know, thank you! View Poll submitted by /u/PretendDelivery2798 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I wanted to add my brother as my registered companion and my boyfriend under domestic partner/spouse but I was told by another flight attendant that I wouldn’t be able to do both. Is that true? And if it is, is there any kind of loophole? submitted by /u/Sorry_Courage4954 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Sometimes this job discourages me to become a parent

I know I shouldn’t let my job discourage me from being a parent in the future but I just really can’t help but to feel annoyed by so many parents that feel entitled to do whatever inflight—just because they have kids. Case in point, I was working this flight and I’m on the aft jumpseat eating a sandwich I packed. I started smelling poop and I was sitting in front of an empty lav that hasn’t been used by anyone in like 15 mins. Turns out it was coming from the last row where a parent was changing his son’s diaper on the seat. Passengers were obviously appalled by it and my colleague was brave ..read more

so I know as a flight attendant we get randomly drug tested (which i’m not worried about). i’m just curious as to how the process works. Do they send you to a lab as soon as you land, do you have to find your way to the lab, or is it done right in the airport? submitted by /u/futureflightbae [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Appropriate gift for flight crew to ask them to store a wedding dress in the closet?

Hi all! My fiancee and I are eloping overseas in a few weeks and we are carrying the wedding dress and suit onto the plane (so as to avoid potentially losing it if we checked it). We have heard the crew sometimes have additional space, or know of additional space where something like that can be stored. We don't really want to shove it in the overhead bin for obvious reasons... Is there an appropriate gift we can bring to hopefully ask them to store it there? We were thinking a nicer chocolates-sample box so everyone could share? Coffee from Starbucks? (though by the time they got those they ..read more

Seeking Advice: Dreaming of Moving to HNL for Beach Living Despite Environmental Concerns

I would love to be HNL based. I’ve always wanted to live by the beach. Luckily my airline has a base there so I would only have to transfer. The only thing that is really stopping me is that lots of locals say don’t come to the island bc it’s being destroyed! I don’t want to be judged or called selfish but it’s literally my dream. I’m 27, no kids, no boyfriend I just have a cat and a car lol submitted by /u/ZealousidealGas1218 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Getting sick almost monthly

I’ve been getting sick almost monthly for the past year or so. It usually starts with sinus blockage/aches and pains, slight sore throat, and then I’ll have a fever/irregular body temp on and off for a few days, and my sore throat will get 10x worse and I’ll develop a cough. Sometimes I can go three months without getting sick, but I think that’s a record. Even worse, I ruptured my ear drum while flying the first time this happened to me. Since then, I’ve been sick about 5+ times and every time I’ve had to fly while sick, that same ear has given me problems. I can’t just call out sick every m ..read more
