Celebrating 50 years of CT Imaging by Cynthia McCollough, PhD October 1st, 2021 marks the 50th anniversary of the first computed tomography (CT) scan, which was performed in 1971 by radiologist James Ambrose at Atkinson Morley's Hospital in London, UK.
