We are over the moon that our very brilliant foster carer, Afia Choudhury, has won The Fostering Network’s President’s Award for her contribution to care.
Afia and her husband Kamruz currently care for three foster children, who’ve lived with the couple for the last seven years. The children will remain with the family until they reach adulthood.
Afia says “I came into fostering to make a difference to children, but actually they’ve made a difference to my life.”

Over 200 foster carers and staff got together on the 7th December to celebrate the fantastic achievements of our carers. Awards were presented by the Mayor of Tower Hamlets, John Biggs to carers who had impressively turned around the lives of some of the borough’s most vulnerable children.
Everyone enjoyed a traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings and carers were able to have fun in the photobooth and enjoyed having a dance with their friends.
