Zombie food source weakness?

Had random thought about the weakness of zombies. Lets say we're talking walking dead zombies and a person is infected via bite, death, fluid exchange etc and food source is humans. Say a zombie bites a man and chows down right after. By the time the zombie finishes eating a hand or something the guy is going to turn into a zombie eliminating the rest of his body being a food source. It'd be like eating a burger and when you take you first bite the other side of the burger turns to sand. I dont see how they can survive then and seems like a plothole for any zombie film or book submitted by ..read more

Would it make sense if humans could still run into a few dozen zombies every once in a while, 100 years after the zombie apocalypse began? Asking for a story... What you need to know to answer this question: Everyone is infected and will turn once they die, unless the brain is destroyed or severed from the spinal cord Zombies will decay to the point of immobility within 10-12 years after reanimation I was thinking maybe new zombies would be formed every time a survivor enclave gets wiped out by an epidemic or warfare or something, so there would always be a constant supply of fresh zombies ..read more

Got to be between 2005 and 2012 b-movie straight to dvd style. The scene I remember, survivors on a roof they hear a baby crying in a car, a guy (I think zip lines) off the roof grabs the baby, zombies start chasing him (I think fast zombies) when they get close he throws baby over his head to the zombies. Climbs back up the roof and looks sheepish at other survivors and they stare at him in disbelief. submitted by /u/nightdawnday6 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Why does nearly every zombie story skip over the initial outbreak?

I know only of 4 stories that actually deal with the first appearance of the virus and that is the most interesting part for me. I want to see society going from completely normal to gradually getting worse and worse until complete collapse. I also want to see the first cases and the initial reports of a strange phenomena that were used as sidestories in the newspapers and tv broadcasts and I want the situation to slowly worsen with hospitals overflowing and people slowly realizing that they are in deep shit. And I want to see mass panic/riots with panic buying and then the mass zombification ..read more

Why do you like them and consume media about them? They just never clicked for me and I wonder why they are so popular. Project Zomboid is pretty much the only zombie game I've ever gotten into and that's because of it's brutal realism, in that game you can barely fight off three at the same time in the beginning, and spend most of your time hiding in a corner and worrying about food and water. Edit: I also liked that game because society hasn't collapsed at the start, you start in a quarantined zone with the government having covered up the outbreak. Over the following days you get to watch ..read more
