“…but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” Proverbs 31:30 Today I woke up at 6, grabbed a coffee and a sweatshirt, threw my teenager and some friends in the car and took them to track practice. I started laundry at 6:30 am and that has been running non-stop and now about to fold my sixth load with number seven in the wash and the final number eight waiting its turn on the floor in front of them. I still have that one lonely sock without his friend. The dishwasher has been emptied twice, has run two full loads, and is waiting to be emptied yet again this evening. Today is Easter. We celebrate because Jesus came to earth and lived the perfect life we were supposed to live and died on a cross in our place to satisfy God’s holy wrath for the sin we committed. God loved us so much that He offered up His own son to die for us. The very best news is that Jesus wasn’t like the rest. He rose from the grave, leaving behind an empty tomb and claiming victory over sin and death once and for all.
