Update on my previous post involving Mica Miller. Sheriffs department concluded that Mica purchased a hand gun from a pawn the day she decided to end her life. The 911 call has been released to the public a link will be down below. In a 911 call made to Robseon County 2:54 p.m., which was shared by the sheriff's office, Mica can be heard asking a dispatcher if she can track down her location. When the dispatcher says she tracked Mica to the Lumber River State Park, she asked Mica why she wanted her location known. Sadly, the search is over for Levi Blake, an 80 year old Omaha man who went missing from his home last August during a heat wave. Even more sad, he was found in a remote corner of a elementary school yard and mere yards from a church and tire repair business in the middle of a North Omaha neighborhood. It always worries me when you hear stories of elderly people going missing. Many are found so close to home, right near their homes or in the neighborhood were but yet so far away. Around 4:00am on August 23, 1987, the bodies of 16-year-old Don Henry and 17-year-old Kevin Ives were hit by a freight train in the town of Alexander, Arkansas. The locomotive engineer engaged the brakes while blowing the horn, but the train could not stop in time and rolled over the bodies. The deaths were initially ruled an accident. I’ve been aware of this case for years, and I worked in town for awhile when I was a college student. The spot that these remains were found is secluded, but on a main road. I never, ever, thought that I would hear any sort of an update on this. There has been a popular internet theory that this Jane Doe may have been related to the Connecticut River Valley Serial Killer, but it looks like that is not the case.
