First I want to say I’ve tried to find posts/sources that address my questions and I have been unsuccessful. So I apologize in advance if this info is out there. Ive been thinking about it for a while and i am going to pull the trigger and get a Prince Albert piercing. I just am a little concerned about the time of the piercing itself. I don’t see a world where I don’t get an erection. Does this disqualify me from getting the piercing? Would I have to try to get my erection to go down before it can be completed? How do piercing professionals respond to this? I don’t want to make anyone uncom ..read more

How long did you get crusties for?

How long did it take until you stopped getting "crusties" on your piercings, particularly lobes? I got my lobes done about a year and a half ago, and I still get them on my right ear? Not bloody. The left one (def the golden child lol) stopped after a month or two, and is definitely fully healed. No signs of irritation/infection/redness or anything, it just... hasn't stopped yet? submitted by /u/that_dude_with_CMS [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

For context, i got a navel piercing yesterday on my break from college very spontaneously and this is my first piercing aside from my normal first earlobes! I’d love some help to see if it looks okay in quite nervous :> I use the piercing aftercare saline that i bought from the piercers in the morning and before bed it’s a titanium banana barbell submitted by /u/unknownmeats_1 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Is my conch pierced correctly?

I want to eventually put a ring in my conch but something about the placement of this piercing really doesnt seem right.. i'm wondering what the piercing community thinks. I've had it for about 3 weeks now and it is still very swollen and hurts so much. Neither my helix or snakebites have swollen as much as this has, is this normal? (pierced with a flat back 12(?)mm titanium bar, i'm cleaning it twice a day) (also took the ball off so you could see better) submitted by /u/j0sxke [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Now for the awkward in between of mixed metals (gold/titanium) while it heals up. Should I switch the gold out or rock a mixed look? It’s been about 4 days and today is the worst pain of all. I’ve been cleaning it regularly but it’s super swollen today. I’m not sure if this is a delayed reaction or an infection to worry about. I have other ? piercings so my pain tolerance is up there even with healing but this is super sore. Got my thirds done at the same time and I swear they hurt so much more!! Very pinchy. But now they don’t hurt at all but my conch is bothering me. submitted by /u/Tr ..read more

I think my ear is super infected, last week, I thought I was healing fine, and it had been about two months since I originally got the piercing and I wanted to downsize from 8 mm to 6 mm and the piercer said that was not advisable because it was still swollen, however, lots of the bar was sticking out of my ear into the back of my head, and I think it caused the very first piercing closer to my forward helix to migrate as it was pushing against my head. I now have infection bumps on all three of them and I’m just thinking of giving up all together as they have all seemed to migrate, and ..read more

Hey I just just got my tongue pierced like 2 1/2 days ago the piercer just told me use mouthwash to take care of it and so that’s what I have been doing but I’ve been noticing a ring around my piercing. I don’t know if it’s dead skin. I don’t know if it’s pus, but I don’t know if it’s supposed to be there while it’s healing or how to make it go away. I have not had it downsized and I use the mouthwash above⬆️ and I I think the jewelry I’m using is called a barbell. submitted by /u/RIP_TO_MY_HEART1017 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I have found that I really like the personality of most people with piercings

I'm relatively new to the community but there was a time where I didn't understand why anyone would want piercings (outside of the basic ear piercings for women). I had my own prejudices of people with piercings and would see occasional posts or videos online pertaining to dating where people would comment on "women with nose rings" as if they're "crazy". Since getting the piercing bug and chatting with people both online and IRL with piercings, I've had nothing but positive experiences. Most people here are so helpful. I've chatted with people in various shops who were willing to take time t ..read more
