Dear Diary
It's About Time
I am so very grateful to be
back again on my Blog.
So much has happened
since my last post in 2018
a very frightening experience
with the antidepressant Cymbalta
led to years of recovery and
the promise to myself to
NEVER rely on prescription
medications to 'be happy'
The finding of Mikhaila Petterson's video
and the Carnivor diet
was all I needed to recover and find
my 'love of wool' again.

My apologies Ladies.
I was stranded in this storm (yesterday and today).
The photo shows our old iron bridge
on the Medway River.
My son drove me home and by that time it
was so late I was not able to post the
last of the onion dye tutorial.
So here it is...
It is really a very fun and easy dyeing method
but it does have limitations....
more about those later.
Add the 'mother' onion dye and water
to your 'only for dyeing' pot.
The amounts of 'mother' and water depends
on how dark you want the wool.

I always like to start a new post with a photo.
Rather than show my old chipped dye pots,
I thought I would show everyone a
basket rug I made years ago.
I designed the pattern similar to
a very expensive and famous
antique hooked rug.
I stitched the rug intending to
mount in an antique frame but..
I didn't measure the base to
the frame measurements and so
it was never completed.
On to the dyeing...
Shop the second hand and thrift stores for
pots in all sizes (covers aren't necessary)
