I’ve heard some bad things like “CMPD is the NYPD” of the south, meaning they’d hire just about anyone. I think this is partly true as when I went to take the physical test, they informed us that we did not have to pass to move forward in the hiring process, we only had to attempt it. City politics, high-crime, and the release of dangerous criminals back on the streets is another thing.
However, CMPD has the highest paying department in the area and the benefits are unmatched. I’m wondering if that’s worth it over choosing a lower-paid, smaller department in NC with less stress and a supporti ..read more

My City just put up some new cameras that read your plate and relay it to Troopers in the area, expired tags, unregistered, no insurance, etc.
It kinds feels invasive and anyone I've asked don't really like them, so I figured I'd ask all of y'all on your opinions.

Greetings all.
I am already an MTA-NYCTA Train Operator. The scheduling is horrible, I work weekends, I have no set schedule (might take a few years more). Almost every other day is overtime due to the railroad blowing up. The job is very stressful and tire-some. The culture is toxic and the public/tiktok hates us and doesn't respect us at all.
How does being a Court Officer (upstate above Westchester) compares?
Which is better? I would love all of your inputs and opinions.

Hey -
To preface, this happened two years ago now, and I personally just want to know for my own information.
Two years ago, I was walking my two large-sized dogs for the first time in a new neighborhood. We had just moved and I wanted to take a break from unpacking and stuff.
Anyway, as I’m walking them, two unleashed pit bills rushed us and started fighting my dogs. Of course this was chaotic, as there were four dogs sprawling. About five seconds after the dogs come running out, the owners (two older ladies) came running as well to try and separate the dogs. We were separating the dogs for ..read more
