My house was searched. California

Not sure where to ask this or if I'm being paranoid. Cops were real cool. But my house was searched they found nothing, it was for someone living at my residence. I had no involvement in the crime at all. But they skipped the suspects room and deeply searched mine. Said they knew what they were looking for but went through my paperwork? They asked for my router. Now my ring cameras don't work properly. My computer is always powered on now too. I only know this because have a power saving extension and it shows me when it is drawing power. I feel crazy to ask this but could they have planted s ..read more

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but is there such thing as a sheriff advisor? Like someone who helps with some of the workload or assists with brainstorming solutions? submitted by /u/MaliciousShitbag [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Narcan

I’ve been wondering about this for a minute. Does narcan really have no negative side effects? At “training” a few months ago we were told there are no negative side effects and if we have an unconscious non responsive person to use it, wait a few minutes and then re administer if they don’t wake up (wash rinse repeat until FD arrives). I’m not a medic, I have no idea and don’t like the idea of my “training” (release of liability for the PD) on the subject being a quick 5 minute PowerPoint before we were released for lunch. I get that it is used daily all over the country and is an OTC drug ..read more

I took my polygraph about a month ago. I spoke to the investigator today and he scheduled me for an interview. I never heard of anybody in CPD to have a post interview following their polygraph. Is this a bad sign? What should I expect? Has anyone ever experienced this? I was under the impression I would move on to take my final POWER test. submitted by /u/Former_Walk9474 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I don’t know if anyone involved in this last night will see this but it’s worth a shot. I’m in Michigan and have a very good friend in Ohio who called me in tears, claimed she was driving around aimlessly for at least an hour and had no idea where she was, verbalizing thoughts and potential plans and intent to harm herself. I stayed on the phone with her, urging her to go to an ER but she refused. I got her to eventually and reluctantly share her live location with me to which I immediately started texting 911 asking for their assistance, but also, I needed it in Ohio, not Michigan. CA. Pulled over and told I have a flag on my vehicle for weapons.

I was pulled over for "swerving", I wasnt. He tailed me for 2 mins then pulled me over. Recorded the whole interaction. I was told I have a flag on my vehicle for having weapons in the car. He did not tell me how it got there or go into detail when I asked him about it. The most he said was if I had interactions in the past with officers and my firearm was involved, that could be it. I have a CCW. Is this legal/common? What is going on? submitted by /u/The5thSurvivor [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Is it a hassle to call police when you hear/suspicious of something? Or when is it enough to call the police? Is there a line between calling vs not to “save resources”? Or are cops happy to check? submitted by /u/stassdesigns [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
