"Laurie Strode comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago." "You don't believe in the boogeyman? "No." "You Should." To think that David Gordon Green and Danny McBride -The creative team behind the brilliant Eastbound & Down- might just be the ones to give us the Halloween sequel that we've always yearned for is kinda crazy, but after watching this trailer, I think they just may have nailed it. This new Halloween film basically erases everything that happene ..read more

So What Had Happened Was...

Back in the middle of March, Amazon decided to cancel our Associates Account, claiming that we somehow violated their policy. So basically the small amount of money that the site actually made via our VOD and Blu-ray Release Dates Pages was taken away, with no explanation, and with absolutely no way for us to get it back. The timing was especially unfortunate due to my real-world responsibilities talking more of my time and energy, and as big of  blow as that was to the site, and me personally, I decided to take a step back from things. Now, I should have posted something, but I was too ..read more

The more they discover, the more they find themselves trying to outrun the sinister fate they seem to have inherited as it slowly destroys everything they know. "Family drama with a supernatural bent." (aka I Hate My Mom!.) Release Date: March 23. Country: Canada. Rating: NR. Written by: Adam MacDonald. Directed by: Adam MacDonald. Starring: Nicole Munoz, Laurie Holden, Chloe Rose, and Missy Peregrym as the voice of Pyewacket. A few years back, writer/director Adam MacDonald gave us the really enjoyable killer bear flick, Backcountry, and you can read our review of that little gem, right HERE. Now, he's returned to the Horror fold with a little tale of grief and a goth kid gone matricidal, which only serves to further our belief that they guy knows ..read more

What's New on VOD This Week? (3/19-3/23)
The Horror Club

With the latest installment in the Insidious series, the fantastic-looking I Kill Giants, and the witchy Pyewacket hitting VOD this week, it's going to be a busy weekend for us. Welcome the Stranger looks like an interesting thriller too, and Followers mixes Internet Horror and Found Footage together to hopefully scary results, but they don't intrigue us quite like the others. Happy streaming! *Be sure to click the pics to rent the movies, or watch their trailers. Or both. Or neither. It really depends on your mood, now doesn't it?   *If you aren't already a member, you should really ..read more

In a world where streaming movies in HD is growing in popularity, it gets harder and harder to justify spending hard earned money on physical media. The fact is though that when done right, nothing makes a movie look or sound better on Blu-ray, so we bring you The Digital Dread Report to help you figure out what's worth buying, and what you're better off streaming. It's great to see The Burbs finally getting the treatment it deserves with Shout Factory's new Collector's Edition; The Church and Ichi The Killer are classically odd titles worth looking at; and Small Town Crime was a fun, quirky ..read more

VOD Review: Midnighters (2017)
The Horror Club

"A character-driven neo-noir that packs a twisty punch." We love us a thrilling neo-noir, and ever since Starry Eyes (review HERE) we love us some Alex Essoe too. So the idea of Midnighters offering us both in one movie was just too good to resist. We're not going to reveal too much about the plot below, because this is a movie that has some twists and reveals, and to do so would kinda kill the vibe of the whole thing, but I will say that Midnighters makes for a fun ride through noir country, even if there are a few bumps in the road along the way. On the way home from a New Years Eve pa ..read more

What's New on VOD This Week? (3/13-3-16)

This week's VOD releases more than make up for the fact that last week was a barren wasteland on the new streaming entertainment front. Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the big release of the week, and if you're looking to add a digital copy to your collection, now is the time. The cheaper rental version hits in 2 weeks, for anyone who prefers to watch a movie once, then be done with it.  It's been 7 years since we've seen a new Children of the Corn sequel, and now we have Children of the Corn: Runaway to enjoy. It's the 10th movie in the series, and we're hoping that it is better than the ..read more
