Hello Everyone, Here I am once again. Hope you are having a great week. I am doing well. Busy like always but happy as can be. Today, finally I wanted to share with you my new project "The Three Little Piggies". The Three Little Piggies is a project that I really had to do. It has been in the pipeline for quite sometime and it was the ideal small project after working constantly on The Mornington Dollshouse project and writing my book "Designing and Decorating a Period Dolls' House".  The Three Little Piggies Project was inspired from one of my favourite Children's Fables that has alway ..read more

Hello Everyone, How are you all? I hope you are well and had a great weekend. I am looking forward to share with you my new project but before that I wanted to show you a few new miniatures. A week ago I got to visit the beautiful city of Venice in Italy. I was so taken by the beauty and the peace this city offers. It's rich in culture, history and arts.  I have seen a few amazing displays of Miniature books. Lots of Shops full of Murano Glass and Venetian Masks.  I visited this beautiful Murano Glass Shop that makes miniature glass pieces and within the shop the visitors can ..read more

Hello Everyone, How are you? Hope you are enjoying your weekend.  In the past few days I have been working on my new Dollshouse project and I can't wait to share it with you. Yesterday I got to make another small miniature accessory. I made this wooden round fresh egg holder. I started off by cutting the small circles and a spindle for the center. With a rotary tool I carved the shapes where the eggs would be placed. I stained the egg holder in a medium oak wood stain and made the tiny eggs from polymer clay. The eggs fitted the holder perfectly. Here are some photos of the woode ..read more

My Miniature World

Hello Everyone, Here I am once again. I hope you are all well. Just wanted to share with you a small miniature that I did a few days ago. The last time I visited London, I got a few dollshouse accessories from Alison Davis Miniatures. One of them was the Victorian Stereoscope. I have to say I fell in love with it so I got to paint it as realistic as possible. The Stereoscope miniature came with several cards to cut out. It was a pity I couldn't really display them as I wanted so I decided to design and make a stand for them. I made it out of thin wood and did three layered sections withi ..read more

Hello everyone, The weekend is here once again. I hope you all had a great week. I have been busy working on a new miniature that I have been wanting to do for a couple of months. For the past four days, I have been working on my miniature bar globe cabinet. Since I was a little girl I have been fascinated with these bar globe cabinets. I remember my grandmother had one of these. As a child, I was always curious and eager to open it. I still remember the scent of the cabinet once it was opened. A mixture of wood, polish and liqueur.  The Bar Globe Cabinets were introduced in the 50's ..read more

Hello Everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend. Here I am again and as promised, I will be here regularly sharing some of my work with you.  I will be starting a small project very soon that I have been dying to do, but in the meantime, I want to share with you the miniature train set display I have been working on.  I am not a big fan of the real trains, I have to say actually, I am quite petrified of them. Thank goodness we don't have any of them here in Malta.  However, I do like the model train sets. I only got to see a real vintage train set work that belonged ..read more

Hello Everyone, Hope you are all well and that you are looking forward to Christmas. Like most of you know Christmas Eve is the highlight of my Christmas. It's the most magical night of the year and it brings so many sweet memories to me. At Holly's Christmas Shoppe the Christmas Spirit never fades and this year is no exception. Everyone is waiting for the magical night to celebrate the birth of a very special baby and the visit from Father Christmas. This year Holly's niece Noelle wanted to spend Christmas Eve with her. She was so excited. After spending the day helping her aunt with ..read more

Good morning everyone, How are you all? Hope you are well and that you are preparing for Christmas. Can't believe that it's Christmas already.  I just wanted to share a miniature doll that I acquired a while ago and that I am sure you will like to see at this time of year.  I am so happy with this little St. Nick. He is a German antique bisque Hertwig doll dating from the 1890's.  I totally love his red cheeks and his jolly warm face. This year he will be placed at Villa Marie one of my favourite vintage dollshouses that I have. While the ladies are discussing their C ..read more

Hello Everyone, How are you all? Hope you had a great weekend. It has been a while since my last post. Rest assured that I am busy with an extraordinary project that I will share with you when the time comes. Unfortunately for the time being it has to be hidden.  Between the errands and this project, I continue adding to the Disney Doll House Project. I continued working on the basement where our beloved Winnie the Pooh would stay.  The collection is quite big and takes a while to collect on a weekly basis but it is definitely worth it. All the parts fit and it is very detailed ..read more
