Hello everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend. Today I wanted to share with you the last place of interest that my family and I went to visit when we were in London which was the Imperial War Museum.  As much as I love Dolls' houses, I love history. The benefits of it all is when I get to combine history and Dolls' houses together.  One of our last visits was to the Imperial War Museum.  The museum itself is amazing but crazy enough and to my total surprise I found the Allpress model house in 1:12 scale. The Allpress model house is an origin copy of the house tha ..read more

Hello everyone, Here I am again today. It's been a week since my visit to Windsor Castle in the UK.  It was one of my highlights during my short visit. It was my second time that I visited Queen Mary's Dollshouse but this year was a bit special as I took the kids and this year Queen Mary's Dollshouse is celebrating it's 100th year anniversary. Windsor Castle is beautiful on its own. Just entering it's grounds is worth the trip. Just like the first visit I was excited like a little girl and the kids could see how much this meant to me.  No photos are allowed to be taken but we m ..read more

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all having a great week. I just wanted to pop in quickly as yesterday on Malta Daily, My Miniature World was featured on their M Files.  It was recorded back in January after my trip to Edinburgh. It was a great interview where I spoke about my dolls' houses and how I got to love the hobby.  My Miniature World collection has really grown in the last few years and I truly love just being around them.  Even though it is in Maltese you can take the jest of it all.  The feature was a big hit on social media with over 42.1k pla ..read more

Hello Everyone, How are you all? I hope you had a great weekend. Finally I can start breathing again and get back into my stride. It's been a rough few months I have to say but I am very proud to say that my upcoming book "Designing and Decorating a Period Dolls' House" is done and dusted.  During last weekend I had the honour to visit the Kensington Dollshouse Festival Summer Show in London where I got to promote the book. I was really excited for the show not only because it was my first time there and I was promoting the book but mostly because I had my entourage with me.  I was ..read more

Hello Everyone, Hope you are all well. It's been a few weeks since my last post. I have been very busy with my forthcoming book 'Designing and Decorating a Period Dolls' House'. Cross your fingers that it will be out by 27th August 2024.  I am very pleased to say that the Three Little Piggies Project is complete and it's already being displayed at My Miniature World Museum.  Decorating the Three Little Piggies came so naturally. It was like I knew where everything fitted and how.  One of the original furniture pieces that I scratch-built for the room was the little bed where th ..read more

Hello Everyone, How are you all? It's been a while since my last post. I was away in the UK on work trip in Sherborne, Dorset and on my spare time I visited Yeovil in Somerset which was only fifteen minutes away by bus.  In Yeovil there is a shop called Emporium and within this shop there is a section with dollshouses and accessories called G & A Dollshouse Bits. The sweet shop had a few vintage dollshouses and accessories that I totally love. A variety of everything that you need for a Dollshouse. I spent quite some time there, taking everything in. It was heaven in my own wo ..read more

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well and that you enjoyed your Easter. I continued working on the interior of the little piggies cottage with a plaster effect and wooden beams.  The fireplace was plastered with a few bricks. Within the fireplace I made a large pot where you can see the tail of the big bad wolf.  I can't wait to finish it off with furniture and accessories. I hope you like what I have done so far. This is all for today. Make sure to keep tuned for the next update and latest news. Take Care and See You Soon. Hugs, Rebecca xxx ..read more

Hello Everyone, Here I am once again. Hope you are having a great week. I am doing well. Busy like always but happy as can be. Today, finally I wanted to share with you my new project "The Three Little Piggies". The Three Little Piggies is a project that I really had to do. It has been in the pipeline for quite sometime and it was the ideal small project after working constantly on The Mornington Dollshouse project and writing my book "Designing and Decorating a Period Dolls' House".  The Three Little Piggies Project was inspired from one of my favourite Children's Fables that has alway ..read more

Hello Everyone, How are you? Hope you are enjoying your weekend.  In the past few days I have been working on my new Dollshouse project and I can't wait to share it with you. Yesterday I got to make another small miniature accessory. I made this wooden round fresh egg holder. I started off by cutting the small circles and a spindle for the center. With a rotary tool I carved the shapes where the eggs would be placed. I stained the egg holder in a medium oak wood stain and made the tiny eggs from polymer clay. The eggs fitted the holder perfectly. Here are some photos of the woode ..read more
