Sepulveda Boulevard bus lanes debut in the Valley Steven Sharp Wed, 03/27/2024 - 11:30
A ceremony held on March 26 marks the grand opening of new bus priority lanes on Sepulveda Boulevard in the San Fernando Valley.
The project, delivered through Metro and LADOT, spans 5.6 miles of Sepulveda Boulevard between the neighborhoods of Panorama City, Van Nuys, and Sherman Oaks. The lanes will speed buses which move more than 50,000 weekly riders (including 9,000 daily passengers on Line 234) by 15 percent, according to LADOT, while also allowing for more frequent service.

Just off the Walk of Fame in Hollywood, vertical construction is complete for a new multifamily residential development Wiseman Residential.
The project, which replaced a smaller 1940s building at 7050 W. Hawthorn Avenue, consists of a seven-story building which will feature 60 apartments above parking on two podium levels and one subterranean level.

A final presentation to the Pasadena Design Commission reveals another refresh for a proposed single-room occupancy (SRO) apartment building just south of the 210 Freeway.

Trammell Crow Residential gets $200M loan for Alexan West End in Long Beach Steven Sharp Tue, 03/26/2024 - 11:30
Trammell Crow Residential and partner R&V Management have secured $200 million in financing for a large multifamily residential complex located just north of the World Trade Center in Downtown Long Beach, Kennedy Wilson announced this week.
The loan, which will go toward the Alexan West End development at 600 Broadway, was arranged by CBRE, and includes a $166 million construction loan from Kennedy Wilson and a $34 million mezzanine loan from a life insurance company.
