Bar exam in late July (Florida), half Ironman in mid September. Any attorneys here that can shed light as to how realistic studying while training would be? A bunch of non-lawyer friends are doing the IM, and it would be a great experience if I could join them for the half. But obviously the bar exam is my main priority, so I wouldn’t want to jeopardize that. For context, I (26M) am a bodybuilder, have only running and swimming experience, and have never raced anything more than a 10k.

I bought an Xterra wetsuit. I’m 5’10” and weigh 234lbs. According to their chart, I’d be a XXL. It doesn’t seem to fit me well though. I am fat but I also carry a decent amount of muscle ? what size would you recommend? Xterra wasn’t much help with their recommendation other than telling me this one was maybe big and that I have 30 days to rest it.

I have to wear a holter monitor for 2 weeks starting on April 10. It’s the patch type (wireless) so it sounds like I’ll be able to continue training with relative ease.
Normally, I would probably just not train for two weeks, or do some light exercise but I am racing IM Texas on April 27 so those two weeks are kind of crucial.
Does anyone have experience training while wearing a holter monitor? How did you keep it dry? Did you have trouble with peeling? Any tips or tricks are appreciated!

Hey guys, so I’m pretty keen and I’ve just signed up for up for my first half iron man. I’ve given myself 7 months to train. But need a bike, I’ve seen a lot of people talking about getting second hand bikes ect. But I don’t really know what I’m looking for. I’m around 185cm/6ft 1inch, what brands should I be looking for/avoiding, what size and how much should I realistically be spending for my first bike (AUD)? Is there anything else I should know before getting my training into full swing. Cheers

I am training for my 3rd Ironman in September, and I’m expecting to go from WFH (for the past 4 years) to in-office with 20% travel by May. (New job…not exactly by choice.)
I am a single empty nester, but I have a house with a yard (ie work to do) and 2 dogs, so I have to check in and can’t go from the pool to work to a run as easily as I wish.
I at least no longer have an unsupportive spouse like I did for my first 2 races and my office will be close to my house (6 miles, suburbs), but I wouldn’t choose to enter a full now. I’m carrying a big load and it’s really too much after a few high st ..read more

I’ve seen 2 zoot tri suits that I like. They seem very similar and I can’t really tell the difference. Anyone have any insight? One is €50 more so curious the difference.

I recently got a Giant Contend 3 and am deciding whether to add clip-on aerobars. My concern is that the handlebars do not seem to be even in diameter (thicker in the center: ~36mm; and then they appear to quickly become very thin: 22mm around the grip area). Has anyone successfully installed clip-on aerobars on this bike? Any recommendations? Thank you so much!

All else the same, which of these 70.3 courses is the best? Strong swimmer and runner, a little weaker on the bike. One thing I’m worried about is the conditions in PCB and the swim getting cancelled. In terms of hills, humidity, and heat. Which of these would be the most forgiving?

Currently, I have a 2013 Speed Concept 7.0 but upgraded to DI2 and zipp 404 wheels. Is it worth picking up this 2019 Cervelo P3 for $1k USD?? Not sure if there would be any significant benefits. If I bought it, worth transferring the DI2?
P3 is rim brake and only been used in 3 sprint distance races.
Speed concept has completed 3 Ironmans and 4 70.3s.

Coming from a cycling background and just got my trisuit today. Fits great (snug and all those goodies) but I was curious about how much training y’all do in the trisuit. Do you do some sessions here and there on the bike in it or is it a race day only item for you?
