I know you've seen tutorials online and especially sellers on Etsy making 100% pure essential oil candles and wax melts. I'm here to give you some information about them.  Essential oils are GREAT. I have a friend on Etsy who sells vegan and natural bath & body (handmadewithlovebykm.etsy.com) and she uses nothing but pure essential oils. Perfect. Welcome to Candle Care 101! The first burn is most important. Upon lighting for the first time, make sure to burn long enough for the wax to melt all the way to the edge of the container. The wicks I use will allow a full melt pool within 90 minutes or less. If the candle is not allowed to melt to the edge, especially on first burn, a memory ring can form and make the candle tunnel for all future burns. I am an honest business. I will not make claims on being organic and non-GMO when it just isn't possible. Organic is a word used very broadly these days. Yes, I buy organic food and drinks, but they are clearly marked and most importantly certified. Soy wax cannot be certified organic. The chemical change needed to turn soybeans into soy wax does not allow for organic certification, even if it was somehow made using only 100% organic soybeans.
