Hello! I am a 16 year old developer on the Roblox platform. I am currently working on bringing the Hamilton experience to Roblox. I am just worried about what might happen to my game, now that it has gotten a lot of attention. What can I do to ensure that it remains a success, even though I’m using music from the Hamilton show? I’ve tried looking for a legal team contact for both Hamilton and Disney, which has been unsuccessful.

I want to post some images on Twitter exposing a company that traffics underage girls with borderline illegal content.
I have the photos. I’ve edited all of them to hide identities/the worst parts. I’ve worked the Fair Use doctrine up and down but my argument is tenuous at best (I’m claiming educational and transformative uses).
Are there any loopholes around the Twitter copyright law outright that I should be aware of? Trying to avoid getting suspended after only a few hours.

Hello! I'm an aspiring writer, and I'm working on a novel. In this novel, my main character mentions hatsune miku several times throughout the book. Am I allowed to keep this, or should I change her name to a different one that still conveys who she is?
Additionally, if I am allowed to keep her name, can I mention any of her games like project diva? Thank you in advance!

Hi there! I'm really hoping someone might have advice. I'm a student hoping to set Laura Gilpin's poem "Two-Headed Calf" to music for choir for a composing competition but, to submit, need copyright permission. This poem was originally published in Gilpin's The Hocus Pocus of the Universe, 1977 by Doubleday. It seems impossible to reach anyone with the ability to give a copyright permission because a) the book is no longer in publication and b) Doubleday was merged with Knopf, and both merged with Penguin Random House. Penguin is the only contactable connection to the book but, after talking ..read more

I run a blog for a company that creates AI-based visual effects. I cover the latest research on related themes regularly there, and much as I liberally quote text from a paper I have chosen to review, I will also liberally use illustrative images from that paper (and usually from several other related papers) in each piece, all with attributed sources.
If the destination was a news site and not a company blog, I would consider this usage to be in the same safe harbor as is enjoyed by the academics who write the papers I review (they use a lot of copyrighted material, but for research).
But ev ..read more

The organization I work for was recently featured in the news and I want to post the article and/or video on our socials. I can’t share a link to the article because of Meta’s ban of Canadian news on their platforms. Is it OK for me to screenshot the article/record the video and post as long as I credit the journal?

Good day -
I am a professional magician currently in the works to make a highlight reel to promote my services to prospect clients for hire. This video would not be monetized on youtube.
Now the song in question is "Muy Tranquilo" By Gramatik (Song link). I reached out to his management regarding using this song in my video. I did not get a response but I did find this post regarding use on Gramatik's official Facebook page.
*For all the people asking, feel free to use my music in your creative youtube videos, it's all good. And if you happen to make a fortune with it, send a few bucks my wa ..read more

Hey all, I want to make a few parodies of songs from Phantom of the Opera. Since it’s not public domain, does anyone have any advice on how I could get away with making parodies without infringing on anything? Thanks!

I heard that color schemes are not subject to copyright, but there are any other issues that could arise?
