Racist Hair Stylist?

I have been going to my hair stylist for over a year now. I have historically had a very hard time finding people that know how to cut my hair. I have been to dozens of barbers, hair stylists, etc, all with varying degrees of success. This guy is legit the best I have ever had. The problem is that he is very racist and passive-aggressive. He had called certain people "towel heads" and talked about how tired he is of seeing black people on TV. I'm pretty sure he even called me a towel head indirectly by putting the towel on my head before the cape. I can't stand the guy, but I am gun shy, tryi ..read more

What are the chances that she is two-faced?

Hey all, been a regular at this one spot for 4 years (the food is great). The waitress has been working there for 3.5 years (quit for 2 months and then she came back). She's friendly to the point that she touches me a lot, calls me "love" and the like, attempts to make conversation, etc. It is pretty noticeable that she doesn't do this with every customers, it is actually rare. Recently I've caught other servers (most of which are new there) talking shit about customers amongst themselves.. didn't think it was cool tbh! I didn't hear her say anything about anyone- she wasn't around, but now i ..read more

Nail Salon from Hell

Nail salon from hell today. They put a towel over my lap and when it unfurled, someone else’s nail clippings and skin fell like snow all over me. I asked for a mani/pedi and to take my acrylics off. But the guy didn’t soak my acrylic nails or anything, he just used a nail to get them off. I figured he knew what he was doing, but it was super painful. Then he used an electronic file to take off the leftovers, but he kept looking over his shoulder almost the whole time. Terrifying. At one point I pulled my hands away when he looked over and was really close to seriously hurting me. He smiled an ..read more

Airline passenger who always gets "extra random checks" and more

I fly, so I guess that makes me a customer? I'm a very unassuming person with an odd last name. Maybe that's why I'm always getting random checks? I swear, more and more every time. The last time was a doozy, though. I got pulled aside after the body scan because of an "anomaly" on my leg. Apparently, the scanner had detected an abnormal mass on my leg that required them to inspect my leg. Fortunately, I was wearing loose pants, as I did NOT want to go to a secure room to take off my pants! Turns out, their machine detected a tumor on my leg. Fortunately, I already know about it and that it w ..read more

I was in an accident 3 years ago and today i tried to book a consultation with a plastic surgeon for a scar revision to improve the scar I was left with . I Called the Dr's office and the receptionist spoke to me like I was 5 years old . She then said I should go and get microneedling done and after I said I have a hypertrophic scar which is thick and raised she said I should still go and get microneedling, she hasn't even seen me . She spoke to me like I'm stupid or something , then telling me you do know insurance doesn't pay for this.. well who said I don't have money to pay for it !! The ..read more

Made the mistake of going to a local outdoor stuff co-op for some shoes. The person helping get something that fit my freaking pontoons (11.5 double wide. Thanks dad.) was great, but when I got to the register it was a shitshow. I stacked the shoes and the other purchases I had next to each other with the barcodes facing her and all visible - she could have got the scanner out of the stand and just BIP BIP BIP BIP BIP and we're off to the races. Got my card out and I'm hovering just next to the cardslot on the machine. Ready to go. She needs to check the shoes to see if I have anything hidden ..read more

Aggressive Sales Tactics by Mall Kiosk Worker

Yesterday I went to the mall with a friend to shop for senior prom dresses. While we were walking past a kiosk worker she compliments us and begins to chat us up in a very friendly tone. She gives us tiny samples of a hair mask and continues to make conversation, saying she's bored and wants to give us something for free. Both me and my friend are quite timid, so we let her keep talking to us. She tells me to sit in her chair, and being caught up in the discomfort and people-pleasing, I do as she says. Before I know it she was straightening my hair with a heated brush! I am fairly proud of my ..read more

"your order has been damaged while packaging. As it was the last unit left in stock we are unable to initiate a reshipment of your order." This seems like a complete lie I bought item from there site listed at a really good price. Day later I get a email saying that. checked the website they increase the price while it still said they had some in stock. Seems to me they made a mistake and now I'm the one who has to suffer. Anything I can do about this? submitted by /u/OTHREDARIS [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Really not sure what to think here :/ Today I was grabbing lunch at a restaurant on my university's campus. They have a little kiosk where you place your order, pay, put in your name and phone number. So I did it as per usual and went to go stand by the counter to wait for my food. As they're making my food (it's one of those buffet-type, bowl-building places), one of the workers calls me over by name. I assume she knows my name because I'm the only one waiting, and my name's on my order. The lady is older, and she seems sweet. She's kind of nudging the male worker next to her, telling me he ..read more

Bought a defective product and just wanted an exchange

Hey guys, Let me start off saying I work in retail myself, but outside of work, I'm very shy and hate confrontation. I bought some cute strawberry socks from a little store. There was nothing wrong when I opened them, but I wore them 3 times before I noticed they developed a perfectly circular hole at the middle of the toe part. The store I bought it at does not do return or exchanges at all, but I thought this would be an exception since I thought there was some defect. Out of all the socks I own, none have ever developed holes until years of wear. I went in and asked if it was possible for ..read more
