The highly-anticipated sequel to Black Panther is now well into production as it adds a new actor to its ensemble. Rising star Michaela Coel has joined the cast in an undisclosed role. Coel recently garnered acclaim for her performance in the hit HBOMax series I May Destroy You. It’s anyone’s guess on who Coel is playing but I’m personally hoping for a character from one of the Midnight Angels, the most elite of the Dora Milaje. There are a few Midnight Angels that were introduced in the recent Ta-Nahesi Coates run that I would like to see Coel play. We cannot wait to see who she ends up playi ..read more

REVIEW: ‘Loki’ Episode 6
MCUExchange
by Mary Maerz

Figuring out how to react to the Loki season one finale feels nearly impossible. The series has without a doubt been the MCU’s weirdest and wildest entry to date, but this was just baffling. The main lingering thought after Episode 6 is simply, “What just happened?” followed shortly by, “What did I just watch?”. Aside from the content of the storyline just exploding in every direction, there was a stunning lack of quality or cohesion in the episode in terms of how the plot played out, how it was paced, and how it even fit into the rest of the series. First, to be fair, the opening of the episo ..read more

After suffering unrelenting delays from its original May 2020 release date, Black Widow has finally arrived. While it certainly was not one of the most high-profile hype-type movies that Marvel Studios has put out, the film found itself in a very unique situation where the long wait and shuffling project release dates led to countless trailers, featurettes, interviews, and plot leaks along the way. The result is a release that felt somewhat stale, yet had the force of being the first MCU film in two years and the first feature film of Phase 4. Take out the cumbersome surrounding circumstances ..read more
