According to the latest Marvel Barside Buzz, Dwayne Johnson is being courted for the role of Apocalypse, presumably for the X-Men reboot movie. The information comes from MTTSH on her sub service. She has a good it rate, yet I do find this one kinda hard to get behind.
Johnson hasn’t played a villain for a while as he isn’t keen on being beaten in the movies (reportedly). However, it’s also rumored the reason Johnson is currently back in WWE is because his Hollywood star has fallen. It used to be that putting Johnson’s name on a movie brought in box office. However a bout of box office underp ..read more

James Gunn has shared the first shot from his Superman movie which sees star David Corenswet suiting up to face… something deadly. The image was first shared on Instagram, but Gunn also posted it on his Threads profile. Feel free to check the link for the best quality image. I did my best with the one you can see in the header image above.
As you can see, Superman is in the process of suiting up to presumably tackle whatever the hell that thing is in the background. Director James Gunn has said numerous times that Lex Luthor is the primary antagonist of the film. Can we therefore assume this ..read more

It seems Giancarlo Esposito has been cast in a Marvel movie as the actor says we’ll see him in the MCU very soon. Esposito has been quite upfront booth about having talks with Marvel and that he wants a role. Mostly Esposito campaigned to be the new Professor X. However, since The X-Men film isn’t due to kick off till 2025 (at least), we doubt that’s the role he’s won. Esposito also indicated it was a different role from the one he publicly went after.
Speaking at CCXP (via Collider) Esposito teased crowds by saying he will appear in the MCU “sooner rather than later”.

We’re a little late with this one as I was busy this weekend, but we have a new trailer and poster for The Acolyte which teases the Sith. We’ve known really from day one on this show that the idea was to tell a story from the point of view of the Sith instead of the Jedi. Yet all the trailers have shown us so far as the assassin and a lot of Jedi.
Of course, we all think Mae is the Sith and that’s why she’s out killing people and going toe to toe with Jedi. However, who is ‘The Phantom Menace’ of this story, the Sith Master pulling the strings? Based on the trailer below, some fans are specul ..read more
