Had a staycation in Alila Hotel with hub and baby in tow. The room is very spacious and the bed feels really bigger than the usual king bed. Room size according to their website is 409 square feet/38 square meters. Love our stay here, only cons i would say there is no shopping mall outside for strolls and it takes 3 lift ride to get from car to room. First one from car to ground floour, then ground floor to check in counter on 41st floor, then another lift to get to room on floor 35-40. But given all these cons, i will consider to stay again due to spacious and well design room, free snack on ..read more

1. Ho Liao noodle
Looks good but it is nothing special, it doesn’t really have the old-taste which I am looking for, not enough porkish aroma, the wantan is quite tasteless as well.
Post in Malay mail
2. Choy Kee roast duck which is also in Shoppee food. Shopee selling RM47 for half a duck, whereby here is RM39 per half duck. Their duck look freshly roasted when we reach around 10:30am on a Sunday
3. Lai Lai dessert shop which sells dessert drink (bubur chacha, red bean soup etc), porridge, many type of fried dough etc
According to the owner, their fried stuff are fried in oil which is c ..read more

Overall, find it expensive and not worth to go all the way there for this. Rice is very nice, rest of ingredient is just okay
Bergedil which has bits of minced meat is it cost RM3.70 per piece, so expensive and not even taste nice, prefer bergedil which has no meat in it.
My neighbourhood nasi lemak in Kuchai Lama, or in Sri petaling cheaper and better than this quite exorbitant priced NL ..read more

this cafe has 2 branches, one in Kepong, the other in Puchong. Overall, I find their food tasty and slight cheaper than other cafe. For one, their green tea latte(RM13) is like double the size of many cafe, cheaper and still yummy. Their pesto pasta(RM25) is also very yummy though the addition of prawn doesn’t add much to me. Their croque monsieur is a deconstructed one and not real croque monsieur, but everything do taste nice, the croissant tasted of real butter etc. Don’t mind a revisit

Every once awhile, hubs and I like to go to Tonkatsu Ma Maison for meal. We always ordered a jumbo pork loin and add one a share-and-refill (additional person’s unlimited rice+soup+cabbage)
It is really a budget meal which fills us up due to the unlimited rice+soup+cabbage, and the pork loin is always so juicy inside and crispy outside… Yum~
Thinking about having this again
They have many branches: Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Sunway Pyramid, One Utama mall, Publika, Subang Main Place, 163 Retail Park Mont Kiara, Bangsar South the Sphere ..read more

their best seller cheesecake-Jaguar cheesecake(which priced at whopping RM25) is just so so (it pales in comparison to Tokyo restaurant’s) though it looks nice with 2 layer. Didn’t try their signature burnt cheesecake. Their food are really big portion, and I like the my pesto pasta, but overall, not a place I will revisit ..read more

1. Universal Bakehouse
21, Jalan SS 20/11, Damansara Kim, 47400 Petaling Jaya, Selangor
Scone is quite nice, wouldn’t say is spectacular but worth a go
Nice sourdough with seasalt and butter, just RM 9
Below is revisit, loves having simple toasted sourdough with salted butter. Can skip the quiche as it is just so so, hojicha is nice but very small glass. Can’t really remember the pizza, not bad and not spectacular I guess
2. Wild Yeast bakery,
15, Jalan SS 22/11, Damansara Jaya, 47400 Petaling Jaya, Selangor
Very near to universal bakehouse. For the sourdough with butter set, I prefer t ..read more

Went opposite Westin hotel to Pavilion to Quivo for their weekday lunch set. Not the cheap lunch set, but very quality food, will definitely like revisit their lunch set if I go there on weekdays.
Their lemon tea is homemade kind and comes in really huge glass, really nice
Tomato soup is really yum
Salad is cold and very nice, with strong cheezy dressing
My arrabiata pasta, good portion to fill up the tummy
Only gripe is this Crispy Chicken burger which is not crispy at all, it is drench in sauce, not nice
Some other restaurant on top floor of pavilion having lunch set, and quite ..read more

My mixed vege grilled sandwich, filled with artichoke, eggplant when I am expecting like grilled capsicum etc, not something I will order again, will order something else next time maybe the mozzarella sandwich.
Overall though items not spectacular, I do like their natural bread and will try other items next time
Above is hub’s salmon egg milk bun, something for him who don’t like hard bread
Onion soup above is a bit sourish and lack depth of rich beef broth, but it is kinda expected, at least they don’t use artificial beef broth flavoring ..read more

Waiting near Pangkor Laut resort “lobby” on jeti’s side for our free speed boat transfer
Leaving from Pangkor Marina jetty
Almost reaching the island exclusively for Pangkor Laut YTL resort
Docking
Map of whole island
One of the restaurant in the resident package, each person can order one main+1 appetizer or one main+1 dessert
Nice view from our table
The tiramisu texture is horrible, it is basically clacky soft mushy underneath, I think too much coffee or it has been made for awhile that water seep to bottom
