This will enable further analytics, diagnostics, and predictions thus helping to make business decisions easier. Cloud-based storage options from Google, Microsoft and Amazon or on-premise Hadoop data lakes are suitable platforms which can be integrated with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, SAP BW/4HANA and SAP HANA Native, using Datavard’s solutions Outboard DataTiering, Glue or DataFridge. Self-service business intelligence and data lakes are one of the most important priorities of CIOs and CDOs, when it comes to creating new business value for their organizations. The trend is to make data available and transparent to enable business users to get answers without having to involve IT. Data today is growing, and SAP data is no exception. According to Datavard’s analysis of more than 300 SAP systems, the annual data growth is between 20-40%. Often archiving does not follow a cloud-first and data analytics strategy. Migrating existing historical SAP archives and document management to the cloud, as part of an SAP cloud strategy, is far cheaper than doing nothing and sticking with the existing on-premise SAP archive. Two ways to reduce the size of the SOFFCONT1 table in SAP
Datavard Blog
by Jan Meszaros

SOFFCONT1 table grows quickly in SAP landscapes and is often found in the top 10 largest tables in the system (TIP: check the list of largest tables in DB02 transaction). This table belongs to SOC3 and contains SAP Business Workplace/SAPoffice Documents attachments or created attachments via the Global Object Service (e.g. PDF scan of the purchase order or invoice). The size of SOFFCONT1 depends significantly on how these types of documents / attachments are used in the system and how they are stored. If an external storage is not used, SAP stores the office attachments in the SOFFCONT1 table ..read more

Client copy comparison – SAP standard vs. Datavard Transformation Suite (DTS) If you are running an SAP landscape, then you must have got into a point when you need to perform a client copy in one of your systems.
