I have a know of several large SAP ECC customers(80,000 users thousands of servers) that are evaluating S4 migrations that will cost 200 million +. Even best case, they don’t think they can complete S4 fully until 2030. The question no one is asking is where do they go from there? S4 end of life is 2040. Will these customers then have to do another 200 million dollar + migration to a yet to be determined SAP product as they are facing now? For saas ERPs like Workday, salesforce, etc. this future proofing seems to be built in. I have never heard of these products forcing a migration to a new p ..read more

They say ODBC connections are impossible: what setup to I have then?

Edit: what setup *do** I have then. SAP where I’m working is more or less a black box. It’s SAP B1 and should be on Hana Cloud, which I assume should have connector capabilities. But the SAP Partner say it’s not possible in the current environment. (I asked about ODBC specifically but answer was general). What environment could that possibly be, in your experience? I’m searching in the dark (googling random key words) for any indications of helpful technical documentation that gives a picture of what the setup is altogether. Perhaps your answers can help me out. submitted by /u/Pure-Finance ..read more

User Input for SAP Dashboard Function

Hello! I have a question regarding SAP dashboards. I'm building a dashboard which will intake data for material costs, shipping costs, customer demand, and some other variables. It will then use a custom formula to show the optimal quantity of materials that should be ordered to minimize cost while meeting customer demand. Is there a way to make it so that a user can input a new material cost (not in the data) to see what the optimal order amount would change to? submitted by /u/Resident_Complex_552 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Advantages of becoming SAP partner / SAP learning hub for partners

Does anybody here have experience of becoming a SAP partner and the advantages of it? What is the pricing model - is it a one time fee or some kind of a subscription? What are the benefits regarding SAP BTP platform - e.g. compared to a trial account? I assume one will get an S... user and have access to the support portal including notes etc - but can one access / does one have access to "on premise installation" files for non productive use so one could set up a "non HANA" Netweaver or IDES ? SAP learning hub: what is the pricing for SAP learning hub for SAP partners? submitted by /u/r3d ..read more

I paid for SAP Concur several months ago but have never been able to get the set up complete. I get errors that SAP support and IT can’t explain. I’m told I am still expected to pay for this service so I’ve tried to cancel my contract and have been told that I have to continue paying, everything seems to run through the sales rep who sold the software to me and I cannot get in contact with anyone beyond him or his manager. Neither of them are willing to correspond with me any further and I’ve been nothing but professional does anyone have a contact for SAP customer support?. My sales rep neve ..read more

I wanted to connect our on prem SAP to excel through power pivot through a view created in SQL management studio. But I’ve been unsuccessful because: 1. The main table BSEG is a cluster table inside SAP and therefore unreachable through SQL management studio. 2. My background is finance and I lack the 100% knowledge of such tasks. (Self taught because IT dept were being tools) 3. I’ve done the same thing twice before with different erp before and it worked. -Please tell me how to make it work through SQL management studio. submitted by /u/Firestorm586 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
