A Dining Room Update

This post is sponsored by Revival Rugs. It’s been a few years since I’ve had a standard size dining space. Our old house had a much smaller area so anything aside from a small table and chairs was out of the question. Since we moved five months ago I’m finally able to start settling in. I like to take some time to feel out the space and decorate slowly so that the design evolves naturally over time and feels authentic for our family. Today I’ve partnered with Revival Rugs to share a peek at our dining room. Though it’s not finished yet, I’m really happy with where it’s at. Above: Lulu & ..read more

By the time late April or early May comes around I’ve already got a summer itch going. I am not a huge fan of the heat but I am a firm believer that being on the beach or poolside makes it all better. Today I’m sharing some of my favorite swimwear from my Minimal Closet. Some are tried and true pieces that I’ve had for years and others are newly acquired. Either way one of my favorite ways to dual purpose a one piece is to wear it as a bodysuit. Enjoy! Wearing H&M Linen sleep shirt & silver claw clip. You spend one third to half of your life in bed, so shouldn’t what you wear matter? As I age and sleep becomes more of a priority I have given more attention to what I wear for it. I have always loved my linen sheets but lately I have also been gravitating toward making sure my sleepwear is also made from natural materials. Today I’m sharing a few of my favorites and as a bonus, some of them can be worn as regular clothing as well. On turning 38.

Last weekend I quietly celebrated my 38th birthday. I’ve been very emotional about this one for reasons completely unrelated to turning 38. Life is very heavy right now and finding joy for myself in the middle of it is hard. My Mom and Grandma came to visit, I made myself a cake, and we spent quality time together. Lately I’ve spent lots of time striving to align my life with what fills my cup the most. I’ve taken up a new creative pursuit, aggressively searched for answers regarding my health problems, and have been seeing a therapist as well. Choosing how I spend my time and attem ..read more
