Actually I am a student in 2nd semester and my project is to build an Desktop Application for a company with a GUI. I have discussed with my lecturer and she gave me two options: C++ ,C#. But I am confused, I don't know where to start. I have done a little bit research and came to know about WPF and Winforms. But i see that posts and articles on WPF are mostly 10yrs old. Also people are talking about Electron , Qt, Avalonia, MAUI. I don't what are these (It's not just for project, I am also a developer but I mostly work on Web and I have an experience of about 4 yrs) submitted by /u/Infamous ..read more

I'm at a loss with this issue so I'm asking if anyone here has any ideas. Using DI to inject causes an exception, new it up and it works fine, despite it being registered as a singleton? https://stackoverflow.com/questions/78345929/exception-thrown-when-using-di-to-inject submitted by /u/Sorry-Main-4039 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

For me the next looks absolutely useless, from my point of view it is just describes what is already obvious from reading the code, it is just a waste of my screen. Why that could be treated by someone like the BEST practice? Help with holding a technical interview

Hello, I got asked to help out with a technical interview of a junior candidate next week. This would be my first undertaking of this kind, and I would be more helping my colleague with the interview than running it myself. The position would be a fullstack-position with C# knowledge for the backend stuff. My question to you is what would you ask about to get a grip on how they think, and what they're like on the technical level. submitted by /u/zerthz [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hello I'm currently using a MacOS device, and I want to know what tool I can use to perform memory profiling similar to the one available on Visual Studio for Windows. I'm not interested in using Parallels to run Windows 11 and Visual Studio, as I'm trying to make my development workflow entirely on Mac. Thank you in advance for your help! submitted by /u/skg-dev [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

SDK projects don't want to reference legacy SOAP web services. I've been told a csproj will allow that, but not sure how to add one to the solution. submitted by /u/LettuceBeHappy3 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
