Any advice is appreciated because I’m really struggling with this TLDR: my boss is going back-and-forth between saying that I don’t take enough initiative, and that I do too many things for my position. I feel like a honestly take a lot of initiative and have not gotten credit for it. I work for a franchise company. What this basically means is that we don’t have a typical corporate structure, we do everything ourselves. A lot of my am and I’s job is coming up with ways to make things less shit in a frankly shit company, such as inventory systems and training modules. My position is officiall ..read more

My manager is ignoring me

So basically, about 1 month ago my manager started calling me “Miss Priss,” and it felt in a disrespectful way, being called prissy and or mocking / trying to insult me. I mentioned to her i didn’t like to be called that, and if she can please not call me miss priss in a professional way. Then something started about last week, i felt something was wrong. I got approved back in January from orginally working 37 hours to 31 hours for a new schedule, my manager said it works for her and i thought all is well. THEN, she started complaining to the main boss saying my schedule isn’t working for he ..read more

Dear Reddit. How do I let the company I work for know that this workload is ridiculous and borderline dangerous to work in? Is this enough means to file for a grievance?

So basically I have had it up to here for this company I have been working for for 7 years now. This is not safe to work in. I have drained my energy thinking of how to deal with this single handidly but I have run out of options. Reaching out to those I'm retail. Have you ever seen this? Is it better or worse than anything you have had to work with personally. Who can I reach out to to let them know. Ridiculous bathroom incidents on shift anyone?

I work 3rd shift/overnights on the truck team at my store and we only have a cleaning crew that comes in near the end of our shifts in the morning to clean the store before it opens so the public restroom stalls near our entrance are usually pretty gross at night after a day full of shoppers and I try to avoid using them but sometimes they’re the closest bathroom to me and I have no choice. Last night was one of those nights where I unexpectedly had to go to the bathroom instantly and had to use one of the women’s stalls because they were closest to where I was restocking out on the sales flo ..read more

There's a who is regularly at the store. Most of the times it seems as if he has nothing else better to do. He brought up a 2x4x8 pressure treated piece on a cart. He started smelling it like he was Tony Montana. He complained to one of the pros saying he didn't like the way it looked and he left without buying it. The lumber guy was pissed because who brings up a piece of lumber and leaves? submitted by /u/Familiar_Ad2775 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Can Walmart refuse to tell an item...even if similar ones are on the shelf?

When i was at walmart shopping with my sister i noticed something i fell in love with. In the collectables section, they have a small bin of collectable plushies. One of these plushies was a Zipper mouth invader zim. I LOVE invader zim and RARELY see merch like that in walmart. Essentially it's a little plushy of Zim, with the teeth having a big zipper you can open to reviel his funny looking tongue. After i was done shopping i went to self checkout. I figured, since i always see some zipper mouth plushies like malefacint or jack skellingon in the walmart collectablesections, it would go smoot ..read more

Hi so I’m based in Canada and I want to return some clothes I ordered online from H&M. The total return value would be around $700. I have a receipt, tags are attached and within the 30 day time-frame. My question is, can H&M refuse returns because of the large number of clothes? submitted by /u/NewspaperFair6710 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
